MKParticipant
Too bad Nicole didn’t just give over all the evidence to clear Eric. There still would have been a good storyline from this. With this new evidence, Eric could have made the decision to return to the priesthood and pine over Nicole. Or, he could have decided to be with Nicole while yearning to be a priest again. They didn’t have to go this route of Nicole going back to her old ways, especially where she risked her life trying to clear her name.
MKParticipantI’ve also been fast forwarding a lot, especially through many tiring Brady scenes and practically ALL of the Jordan/Rafe scenes which bore me too death. I don’t care one bit about her past. And yesterday, I fast forwarded through all of Nicole talking to Daniel and Eric talking to the other priest. I don’t mind if the show is slow but I still like good and interesting conversations.
MKParticipantAnd I couldn’t believe that armor she was wearing for a top. I couldn’t tell if she was trying to be a gladiator or a turtle!
MKParticipantThat’s right Patti; the same ole’, same ole’ tiring rehash with Stefano. That was just so ridiculous with Stefano and that doctor. After that call, I didn’t buy it for a minute that Abby’s not pregnant. I think she definitely is pregnant.
MKParticipantI have said it before and I will say it again, the mothers are more at fault because they are continuously exposing their kids to this all in the name of fame and money. I am not condoning some of the actions of Abby at all, but I specifically remember the mothers talking about their one year contracts so if they do not like it, leave. Kelly even admitted once that the show was good advertising for her kids. She is pathetic and Christi is always angry and also mean to the new mothers.
MKParticipantIn soapworld though it may only have been two days that have gone by since they baked the cupcakes.
MKParticipantI love this show! I started watching it last year. What is also great about it is that even if all of the sharks decide not to invest in a company, it’s still very good advertising for the company. Perhaps somebody who is watching the show will want to invest in the company. I don’t know if that happens, but I bet it could.
And, since these people are already selling their product either online or in stores or both, it is great advertising for them since millions of people every week are watching this show. What better way to get the word out there. I’m sure after the show there are people already online looking for a particular product and that could increase sales for a particular company. I know my sister went online to try and find this cookie dough without eggs that a woman was selling.
MKParticipantI watch the Vikings. I do fast forward a bit on the long battle scenes; but the show does intrigue me.
MKParticipantI know, it really stinks, Patti. Just think– Lent begins on Wednesday–a sure sign of spring! We were supposed to get that storm here in Boston. That’s all they talked about for a week; the "significant" storm that was coming. We didn’t get anything. I think the Cape may have gotten an inch or two. I am surely not going to complain about not getting a storm! Now if we could just get through this arctic cold. Tomorrow morning supposed to be around zero.
MKParticipantI was utterly shocked that they didn’t vote out J’Tia after she threw out nearly all their rice into the fire. Unbelievable! I think even Jeff Probst was perplexed by this tribe. He even said something to the effect that this is the whackiest tribe he’s ever seen on Survivor.
And I couldn’t believe after the HUGE lead the so-called "Brains" had during the second immunity challenge (which was the physical part!), that Ms. Nuclear Engineer couldn’t even do the puzzle. She is so unstable–they made a big mistake not voting her out and voting out Garret instead. At least Garret is strong and right now they need him to help win challenges. You don’t vote out your strongest (physically, that is) player that early in the game. What dummies. You can be book smart but it doesn’t give you common sense!!!!
MKParticipantWell said, dval. I am a bit surprised at his behavior towards Eric still. I thought that had been resolved. Doesn’t he know that Kristen raped Eric?
MKParticipantThank you! I knew when I commented on Abigail’s clothes on another thread, that I was forgetting another outfit I wanted to comment on—Jennifer’s. I’ve never seen such wide-legged pants and that includes some of the bell-bottoms I wore as a little girl! I could not figure out what that top supposed to be. I thought it looked like a very large doily, and it reminded me of lace curtains as well. And the top, for lack of another word, looked very summery with all the cut outs in it; not something you’d wear in the midwest in February.
And don’t worry what other people think when we comment on the outfits. The outfits are a big part of the show and of course we’re going to talk about them, especially when we really like/don’t like something.
MKParticipantI also remember reading yesterday that they didn’t think the orchestra would sound right when playing more modern music. What? I thought it was a ballroom competition. Well it shouldn’t really surprise me as they were already heading in that direction of playing less and less authentic big band/latin songs and more current songs that didn’t fit the dances.
MKParticipantI also heard this news yesterday and just heard about Erin Andrews as Brooke’s replacement. Tom could and should do this show alone. I don’t care for Erin Andrews at all.
The most surprising news to me was the firing of the entire orchestra. I read that they will be replaced by music recordings so it probably means there will be no band at all. They did say they are trying to appeal to a younger demographic. Figures, since most shows are catering more and more to a younger audience. This show is pathetic.
MKParticipantThat was in the news a couple weeks ago. I didn’t know it was going to be shown on this past Tuesday’s show. As much as I don’t like the way Abby treats the girls sometimes, like I always say, I blame the mothers more as they are the ones subjecting their kids to this nonsense. I really believe the "everyone is replaceable" line from Abby is just for show. She’s trying to spice it up perhaps? I don’t believe for a minute that she will replace anyone (well, except for Brooke and Paige who will not be returning to the studio).
I think it’s good that Brooke is gone. She never shows any kind of emotion or expression. I don’t think she ever wanted to be there. She is not even a very lively dancer.
The only reason I can think of for the mothers to be staying with their kids, is the money, fame, and exposure their kids are getting (and the mothers, too). This show can open the door for the girls. The mothers are despicable for doing this to the kids. What decent parent would let their kid stay enduring that kind of emotional abuse (if it is real)?? I think Christi is a media whore. I think she loves all the attention and will never leave that show.
And I don’t like the way Christi treats Melissa. Yes, Abby is wrong in always praising Maddie in front of the others, but it is not Maddie’s fault nor is it Melissa’s. Christie always acts like she has something stuck up her a$$.
I did read that Abby said even though Kelly and her girls are gone, she is not sure if they will still be on the show. Huh??? Why would they still be on the show? Probably to show them at home or doing other things. I guess whatever works for the ratings. I can’t believe I watch this crap.
