MKParticipant
Well said, Patti. I agree with everything you said. Valerie Harper is one classy and beautiful lady and her positive attitude should inspire all of us.
MKParticipantDo you notice that when Marge is talking, she is often shaking her head back and forth? Drives me nuts.
MKParticipantI wrote a similar post a couple weeks ago about Jen calling JJ "my son". Only it sounds like "my SSSSSon" with total emphasis on the "s" in son. It bugs the crap out of me.
MKParticipantAnd enough with the low rider skinny jeans. I don’t think it’s a good look on any guy, especially Chad.
MKParticipantJennifer. I can’t stand to watch her anymore and I’ve always really liked her. She is a stupid fool.
MKParticipantI hate all the pants Chad wears. They are always too low and too skinny. Just not a good look IMO.
MKParticipantIt worked! Jennifer’s been dressing a lot better lately, but the top of that dress was terrible.
MKParticipantAs much as I loved every bit of yesterday’s scenes involving JJ, I still get the feeling that in a few days’ time, Jen will be back to the wishy washy doormat she’s become regarding JJ. Sure she holds a firm line with him initially, but then always backs off and runs after him like she’s the kid and he’s the parent. I can just picture her going soft on him yet again and believing his lies. Even though he could be in some serious trouble, I just don’t believe that she will stay tough and be firm with him. I wish she’d just grow a pair. Maybe she is now.
And I absolutely HATE it when she emphasizes the word "son"!! Instead of saying JJ, she often says "my Sson" with extra emphasis on the "s" in son. Don’t know why; it just drives me nuts the way she’s always saying it.
MKParticipantI have both an I-pad 3 and a 7" kindle fire. I hardly use the Kindle Fire as it is small and I did have some issue going to certain websites. When I am home, I use my I-pad all the time. I do have to say that the Kindle fire has outstanding sound (better than the Ipad in my opinion) and a great picture. Before buying my Ipad last year, I debated between that and the 8.9" Kindle Fire but ended up going with the I-pad. But I am so happy I chose the Ipad. I bought it on Amazon for $520 or so and had a $200 gift certificate so I paid a little over $300 which was so great! The 8.9" Kindle fire goes for $269 at Amazon. The Ipad has an amazing picture, it’s a great size and very proportionate. The sound isn’t bad either and it’s fast.
I use the Ipad primarily for surfing the internet and playing games. I do watch an occasional movie on it. It is lightning quick most of the time in connecting to my wi-fi at home. Sometimes it is a little slower depending on the connection but still not bad at all. The Ipad 3 has a retina display screen which supposed to give it a much better picture than the Ipad 2 but I really couldn’t see a difference when viewing my brother-in-law’s Ipad 2.
Price will also depend on what GB you get. Mine is 16 GB so it was cheaper as I don’t need a ton of storage since I use it mostly for surfing the internet. I think even for the i-pad 2 you will pay around $420 and for ipad 3 about $480-500 (I was checking out prices a few weeks ago just for the heck of it). There’s is also the newest Ipad 4th generation. You should check out all the prices on Amazon to get a good idea. I debated ordering it on Amazon since it is an expensive item to have shipped to my house, but I’m so glad I did. I didn’t have to pay tax, no shipping cost, just had to sign for it.
I guess it ultimately depends on what you can afford to get. If you can afford it, I think you will probably love the Ipad. I’m still curious what the kindle fire 8.9 inch is like (I don’t know anybody who has that one) but I am so very satisfied with my Ipad. I hardly use my laptop at home anymore!
Hope this helps you!
MKParticipantI just finished watching this movie. What a great story. I was really looking forward to watching this though I thought it would feel strange since Ali and Greg play brother and sister on Days (and not to mention he plays a priest!). Funny, but I did not really see them as their Days characters that much as I really got into these characters in this cute and touching story. Boy is Greg good looking!
MKParticipantThe woman who was in the military should have gone home. As Heidi said, she did not follow the rules. She used very little of the parachute in her outfit. I can not believe that only Heidi called her out on it. Any of the other designers could have taken the easy way out and made a black pencil skirt. At least the woman who went home used the parachute so she should not be sent home for it. What a bad decision by the judges. So unfair.
MKParticipantI can’t even believe that. I have a lump in my throat right now and feel so incredibly sad. Her positive outlook was always so inspiring. Nora, if you are reading this somehow up in heaven, please know that you are loved on this board so very much. I will miss reading your posts and you are an inspiration to all of us with your beautiful spirit. My condolences to her family.
MKParticipantAgree 110%!!!!!
MKParticipantSami was so obnoxious the way she went about demanding answers from Hope. I understand she wants to know what happened but she went off again like a bull in a china closet as if she is miss perfect. She only started to calm down when Hope told her that she was left to watch Ciera. Then Sami changed her tune.
MKParticipantThis week I’ve been finding myself so bummed when the show ends! It’s been going by so quickly because it is so good right now. Loved, loved, loved when Nick brought Will’s baby girl to him. Loved Nick’s conversation with Maggie, loved Kristen/Brady/Marlena. Loved everything!
