I am so happy that Dmitry won!  I don’t know what happened to Chris.  He produced such amazing outfits most of the season.  The final runway collection was dark and drab.  I am going to look up who will be on the all-stars.

I would love to see a candidate running for president who just says it like it is, without making up lies and promises to appeal to a specific group of people (like the push to get the women’s vote is making me sick).  I like Chris Christie a lot.  He is a breath of fresh air.

Candy should not have defended Obama.  Let the two men duke it out.  The whole thing was  liberally biased from the audience questions to the moderator.  Let’s hope the next moderator does a better job.

And I read that Obama had 3 to 4 extra minutes to talk more than Romney.  And she shouldn’t have corroborated what Obama said (and it was false to boot).  It was a debate between the two men but it seemed at times that Romney had to debate both Obama and Candy.

Thanks for all the info, bluebonnet!   I’m so glad they’re going back to the format from the first debate.

I’m already so sick of this storyline and all its components.  I think it’s boring and uninteresting but then again, I think I’m just bored in general with the soap right now.  I am watching the show in about 15 minutes.  I can’t find one interesting storyline right now.  I thought I’d be excited to see Kristen back but I’m not at the moment.  But I’m sure that will change once she gets a storyline (which I hope isn’t to break up Marlena and John).

So they are going back to the first debate’s format using podiums?  Or I wonder if they will sit around a table and do it that way.

I watched but I agree totally, Bonbon, with everything you said.  Same ole, same ole.  And most of the questions from the audience were a joke:  assault weapons?  how Romney is different from Bush?  Those asking the questions were supposedly undecideds but I think some (or most) were not.  I think most of us already know who we are voting for and even knew before the first debate.  And speaking as a woman, I am sick and tired of hearing about women’s reproductive issues from candidates just so they can get the women’s vote.  I personally think it’s insulting and condescending to women to think that we only vote thinking about our uterus.   I think the economy, rising food prices, taxes, etc. are the most important to me and I vote based on those issues.

What is Monday’s debate format?  This town hall style was disastrous.   The moderator had no control over the candidates.

I can’t believe Bristol is actually out.  I thought for sure that when they announced that she was in jeopardy that it was just to mislead us and that she’d still be safe.  Kirstie has to be next though we all know how this can go.

Tom said that next week’s show is on at 8:00 and is only one hour (because of the debate).  I think that is awesome as there will be far fewer commercials since all of the couples have their individual dances and then the two team dances.  There will be less filler, too.

You raise a very good point, daysfan, about the judges possibly over-scoring Bristol so that her fanbase maybe wouldn’t worry so much about her and therefore not vote for her so much.  And maybe to avoid the sympathy vote if she got low scores?  Who knows.  She got 8’s from all of the judges and yet Karina and Apolo got three 8.5’s and (one 9).  Though I didn’t like hip hop on this show, they still danced it well and should have had 9’s in my opinion.  Sabrina got one 8.5 and it was from Paula.  I hope Paula is not there tonight.  What is this show trying to prove?  They don’t need a guest judge unless one of the regular judges could not be on a particular night.

I want Gilles to win too, Bonbon.  I keep going back and forth between him and Sabrina.  I would like to see somebody win who has never won before.

And about Bristol, this season is not about improvement.  This is all-stars and Bristol keeps getting points for improving while people way better than here, still get penalized for any little mistake.  I have nothing against Bristol as she seems like a very nice girl and I give her a lot of credit for being on the show the first time, but— there are people who are better dancers getting voted out before her (Helio).  Yes, she has improved and is not a bad dancer but not on the par of anybody else there.

I can not figure out Kelly Monaco.  I do not like her as I’ve stated before.  Does she ever smile?  She never looks as if she’s having fun.  I didn’t like her on Dirty Soaps and I don’t like her on this show.  It’s not just her not smiling much—-there’s just something about her I can’t stand.  Can’t quite put my finger on it.  Just a feeling I have when I see her.  Was she supposed to be all over Val during the entire show with her head buried in his chest?  It was weird.  And even when they were showing the dancers sitting in the background when Brooke is interviewing the latest dancers, she never smiled one time.

I thought last night was ridiculous.  This is a ballroom competition and hip hop?  Seriously?  Although enjoyable, they should not be done in a ballroom (unless maybe freestyle).  The Charleston was appropriate and the jitterbug (or whatever Tony danced to) but hip hop, contemporary are not ballroom dances.  Kelly and Val’s dance would have been great in another venue, but not for this show.  I think the show is jumping the shark a bit.  They should stick to the ballroom dances.

I’m predicting that as usual, Bristol and Kirstie will be safe and somebody more deserving will be out.

Agree with everything you said, mommytutu!  You summarized perfectly why I like Nicole more than Sami.

I agree, Casey.  I didn’t love anybody’s collection.  Just kind of blah.  The reason Chris sent two pairs of shorts down the runway is because he still hadn’t finished the final details of the other garments.  But that definitely could have gotten him the boot.

I just can’t understand why the designers didn’t show their best pieces.  Even the judges were baffled by that.  I understand they want to leave something spectacular for the showing at Fashion Week but if they get eliminated, then they will not be winning PR.

I really miss Sanjia.  I think she should have been there instead of Melissa.  I think Sanjia would have created incredible outfits.  And Melissa uses way too much black.

I was rooting for Chris but now I am rooting for Dmitry.

I really wanted to love 666 Park Avenue and expected to in the very first episode.  I liked it– but then I had to remind myself that very rarely do I love a show from the very first episode.   It often takes several for me to know if I am going to really like a show.  So I too am hoping it gets a chance because bad things happening in an old hotel is just what I like! I read it isn’t doing very well (don’t know if that’s really true) but I will certainly keep watching.  I know they are planning a big Halloween episode with lots of costumes.  I love Halloween and can’t wait for that one.  Should be pretty spooky in the hotel.
