MKParticipant
I haven’t been following the playoffs but I saw this morning that the Yankees won last night and I just assumed they were moving on to the next round so I felt kind of bummed. But now I’m so happy that there is another game! I am a Red Sox fan (well, not so much in the last couple seasons because of their prima donna attitudes and bad playing) so naturally I want the Yankees to lose. I was happy that the Orioles made the playoffs and are rooting for them all the way!
MKParticipantI am so sick of this storyline. It was bizarre and completely crazy when Jennifer said to Nicole yesterday that she forbids Nicole to go away with Daniel. Come on… forbids?
MKParticipantJennifer said something to Brady that she couldn’t save Jack so she will save Daniel. That’s so farfetched to me. I think that if she were truly grieving, she wouldn’t even be giving this a second thought. She’d be too preoccupied with her own sadness to become involved in Daniel and Nicole’s business.
MKParticipantI love, love, love The Middle! Last night’s episode was even better than usual. This show doesn’t get all the praise that Modern Family gets. I just don’t get it because it’s a great show. I’ve been watching Modern Family again and think it’s pretty funny but I like The Middle better. Didn’t watch The Neighbors cause I didn’t think it would get any better.
MKParticipantPatti, what did you think of 666 Park Avenue? Did you watch it?
MKParticipantI feel the same way, Bonbon, about the new shows. I watched one episode of Revolution and didn’t care for it though I know often times I have to give a show a chance by watching more than one episode but I don’t want to continue watching. I watched Made in Jersey and thought it was just okay but probably won’t watch again. I watched one episode of the comedy The Neighbors but it wasn’t funny at all. I was so excited for 666 Park Avenue and will keep watching but I’m not ga ga over it but it’s the only new show that looks somewhat promising. It’s kind of a relief to me that I’m not watching any new shows except for one since I’m already DVRing my "old" shows like crazy. So I guess to answer your question, there is not one new show I’m crazy about. Can’t wait for Project Runway this week!!
MKParticipantI don’t think it’s Bristol’s looks that are saving her. I think she’s somewhat attractive but even if people thought she was beautiful, I don’t think that’s what’s keeping her in this thing. I think people feel sorry for her. She’s the underdog. But really, I’m just at such a loss as to why she’s still there. She’s not a bad dancer like Kate Gosselin is, but just can’t compare with the rest.
And I agree about Kirstie Alley, enough with the boob touching! I think Kirstie is a good dancer. She definitely has rhythm but I don’t think she’ll last long (though I keep saying that and look how things have turned out!)
MKParticipantI guess if Ven was on the show again, he would have to be edgier and think outside the box. But I have to laugh at that a bit because if a designer does do something edgier or something that’s not really them, the judges will say "oh that isn’t you" or "I can’t see your point of view" but if they play it safe, the designer is boring.
I also always laugh at the judges saying that the designer’s piece of clothing needs to tell a story. What does that even mean? I buy what I like, not because it’s telling me a story and not because I can see a particular designer’s point of view. Pulease!
MKParticipantIt’s hard to pick who should be in the next all stars because I usually forget most of the people who’ve been on it. But off the top of my head, I would like to see Ven again and that older guy from a couple seasons back (think his name is Bert). And also Michael Costello, Anthony (the black guy with a ton of personality) from season 7?, and Sanjia.
Who would you pick?
MKParticipantI didn’t watch last night’s elimination show, but heard this morning who got the boot. I am very surprised that Helio is gone! I thought for sure that Bristol and/or Kirstie would go last night. Now I can’t even guess who it will be next week as it can be anyone. Still rooting for Sabrina and then Gilles. I have to keep reminding myself that it is a popularity contest, voting for our "favorites" as they keep reminding us, not necessarily the best dancer.
MKParticipantI just read in TV Guide that starting October 25 (at least I think that’s the date) is another Project Runway All-Stars. This is the one where there is a different host and different judges. I don’t know who will be on this one. As much as I love Project Runway (it really is one of my favorite shows and I look forward to watching this more than any other show), I’m not that excited about another series starting so quickly because I’m already DVR’ing and watching so many shows as it is! But now I’ll have to watch!
MKParticipantI agree that Bristol or Kirstie should go. One of them should have gone home last night (though I was also hoping Kelly Monaco would go as I just can not stand her personality, or shall I say, her lack of one). Kirstie can not keep up with the fast dances and Bristol is just not in the same league as the rest. I’m rooting for Sabrina all the way.
MKParticipantI would love to see Chris win as well. I think he’ll definitely be in the finals. Dmitry has really grown on me so I would like to see him in the finals as well. I think the final three will be Chris, Dmitry, and Sanjia. Me thinks Melissa will be next to go, and then Fabio. I think there may be only one episode left before the finals. I wonder if they will have four finalists design a collection and then narrow it down to three for the finals?
MKParticipantCaroline always dresses nicely and I did especially notice yesterday how great she looked; her hair, face, clothes. I didn’t like Sami’s evening dress (I just don’t find her attractive in those kind of tight skimpy evening dresses–not a good look for her IMO) but liked her maroonish color daytime dress. Now that was form fitting but looked great on her. I think Gabi has beautiful hair whether it’s straight or wavy.
MKParticipantI also can’t wait until Sunday! Not only for Once upon a Time, but also for Revenge. I can’t say I loved that show but I really enjoyed it. In case you’re interested, Patti, at 7:00 on Sunday, they are showing clips from the past season of Once upon a Time to give us a refresher of what happened season one. My DVR is all set for a whole night of shows on Sunday. I’m also going to try 666 Park Avenue. Looks interesting and I love Terry O’Quinn. He’s a fantastic actor.
