Made me want to puke. I don’t care how grieved they both were.
I’m feeling a bit down today so I think I’ll go jump a co-worker.
Agree, SW. I DVR Days every day and at LEAST once a week now, the local news station has to pre-empt the show for "breaking news" which most of the time, is not really something I need to know. I know we’re both from the same area and it gets irritating at some of the things they need to interrupt the show for. "A suspicious smell at a Boston building sent employees out to the streets for 1/2 hour. Turns out the smell was from somebody who ate one too many Fiber One bars at lunchtime". More at 11:00.
I fast forwarded most of yesterday’s show. The storyline I hate the most is the Rafe/Nicole/EJ one with Carrie and Sami’s flip-flopping "who do I love today?" storyline in a close second.
I think I’m in the minority here but I feel that since Sami has done some pretty horrific things, that Marlena can’t help but be more sympathetic to Carrie. At least Carrie hasn’t raped somebody, stole her baby sister (when Belle was a baby), injected her step-father with drugs, lied about paternity of Will, slept with her enemy, and the million other terrible things she’s done. I’m not excusing Carrie’s behavior because it is so ridiculous and unbelievable how she is acting but at least she’s not a calculating, scheming you know what. She even asked Marlena if she, Carrie, will always want to be with someone else when she’s with someone or something to that effect. At least she’s being honest about herself whereas Sami would always blame somebody else. Marlena should not be encouraging Carrie to be with Rafe, but I can see how she shows more sympathy towards Carrie for being honest.
Did Sami really say how great she thought the grief sex was????? I saw that scene and knew they were talking about the sex but I didn’t know she said it was great. That is beyond sick. She thinks her son is dead and she had great sex????!!!!! WHAT? Unless EJ said it which is still disgusting but I would expect it more coming from him than Sami. I can not even understand how it could happen in the first place never mind enjoying it. I can’t believe I’m even writing this. This is a new low. It’s despicable.
Watching them at the pub yesterday, Daniel and Billie definitely have some chemistry going on there. He and Jennifer had absolutely no chemistry at all. I think Billie could be a good match. Will be interesting to see.
And when Sami at the pub yesterday said something to the effect that Carrie has ruined her life yet again or wronged her again. Whatever Sami said, it was so unbelievable coming from her when she herself has done so many awful, evil things to Carrie and others. I’m so sick of her constant huffing, eye rolling, and acting like a five year old (actually that may be an insult to all five-year olds).
Agree, Patti. There is absolutely no chemistry between Brady and Madison. It just doesn’t feel right.
It’s funny you mentioned the light make-up on Ian. When this actor played Duke Lavery on GH, he was even whiter! He really looked as if he had powder thrown on his face.
I felt the same way watching Sami yesterday. Sami is and will probably always be the most important thing in Sami’s life. Marlena takes way too much crap from her. I was so hoping Marlena would really lay into her but I think she’s too easy on her. I thought Sami was supposed to have some sort of an emotional breakthrough with Marlena and realize she needs to take responsibility for her actions and stop blaming her mother for everything. Marlena has done some things in her past but never was a malicious person; Sami is.
No need to worry, Bonbon! Desperate Housewives is not on Sunday because the Oscars are on ABC so that’s one less thing for you to have to record. I am loving DH right now. It’s getting really good especially with Orson being back. What is he up to?
I watched one tiny scene with them at the beginning of yesterday’s show and then I fast-forwarded the rest of their scenes. Lexie’s behavior is not believable, even for a soap.
I’m still hooked big time!!!! The show is a little more soap opera-ish this season than last but it’s still, by far, the best thing I’ve seen on tv in years. I was just a little disappointed on the Christmas episode. I thought they would show more of the preparations for the holiday. I thought the manor would be decorated so beautifully. That tree was so beautiful that I wished they had it up longer. The Christmas part of it only lasted for about 3 minutes. I did not see the parody on SNL but would have loved to! I wonder if it’s on YouTube. I’ll have to check that out later. It’s going to feel weird this coming Sunday when Downton isn’t on tv!
