MKParticipant
I think she said "let me explain" to Brady about 120 times. Irritating.
MKParticipantI didn’t find "The Blair Witch Project" scary at all. I thought it was ridiculous because I never felt the suspense. I just remember the sound of rustling leaves as everybody would be running around constantly saying things like "What was that?"
MKParticipantI agree. Jerky camera work does not make the shows more suspenseful. For me, it creates the opposite effect. It’s usually a lot of confusion and chaos and I think it breaks up what could be a suspenseful scene so it comes out feeling choppy. Without the jerkiness, I feel the tension would be better built. I also feel a tad nauseous watching that camera style.
I almost gave up on Revenge too but I’m so glad I didn’t! It did get better so I really enjoy it.
MKParticipantI too thought the River was bad. It was almost comical but I don’t think that was the intention. The jerkiness of the camera combined with the constant action seemed a little over the top and confusing at time. I will probably watch again as maybe it will get better.
MKParticipantHis name is Ian Buchanan. I remember him from General Hospital in the 1980’s I think it was. He played a character named Duke Lavery. I just looked up his age and he will be 55 in June. I thought he was older since he’s been around a while.
MKParticipantHow do you know it’s little? LOL!!!!!
Seriously, I know what you mean. Austin is completely clueless.
MKParticipantAnd didn’t Sami also tell Carrie that Carrie’s always wanted all the men in Sami’s life? Are you kidding me??? Isn’t that the other way around?
MKParticipantTheir explanation to Sami just made me laugh out loud. That excuse is lamer than lame. As excited as I have gotten at work, I have NEVER even dreamed of kissing a co-worker like that (or even any kind of kiss at all)! It was so far fetched even for Days.
MKParticipantI have to fast-forwarded every disgusting sex scene with Brady and Madison. Is it supposed to turn us on? We get it already… they’re in love, lust, whatever it is. And what was Madison wearing yesterday, a big diaper? When she was facing sideways, that’s exactly what it looked like. It was all crinkled up and was shaped like a diaper. Kind of funny.
And agree about Carrie and Rafe. So incredibly unbelievable. Rafe is hard to watch now with all of his faux-Rafe looks as someone mentioned before. His weird smirks, the way he talks and then snorts afterwards, all so completely ridiculous!!!
MKParticipantBefore I watched that episode I had recorded, I was so sure I’d be fast forwarding through all of Jack’s scenes as I didn’t want to seem him act like a buffoon. I really thought he’d ruin it with his incessant babble and silliness. BUT, was I surprised! He was very good and the real-life vets were fantastic. I had a feeling at least the woman was an actual vet and after reading posts here, I now know she really is. Very moving, especially the tribute at the end.
MKParticipantI’m watching! I wish it would go back to the hour and one half format though. I feel like it’s too rushed in the one hour with all the commercials. I’m still really enjoying it though. I haven’t watched last night’s episode yet. I think I like Michael the best. He is producing some amazing designs.
MKParticipantI bet the actresses pick out most of their clothes. I never heard that but I think there is a lot of an actresses’ personal style in what they choose. I could be wrong.
MKParticipantYou are so right, dval! I noticed that goofy look when Rafe and Carrie were battling the heat in their office. He was exactly like faux Rafe. I am laughing right now picturing that horribly forced, ridiculous farce with them trying to keep cool in the office. I bet the actors hated doing that.
MKParticipantI’m not a big football fan, but did watch the game and was glad our Patriots won. But you are so right, Patti, about Steven Tyler! He was terrible!!!!
MKParticipantAnnieo, I am watching and absolutely loving Downton Abbey! I’m so happy somebody on here watches it too! This is by far the most enjoyable thing on television for me. I’m trying to remember what exactly happened at the end of the first season between Mary and Matthew since it’s been a year or so since I watched that last episode. I think Mary just couldn’t make up her mind about marrying Matthew and so he left Downton. I know she wanted to be honest with him and tell him she had a lover but I don’t think she ever did. I think that was bothering her. But ultimately, if memory serves, she loved him but couldn’t quite commit.
I just bought the blu-ray for seasons 1 and II. Season II doesn’t come out until February and supposedly comes with a Christmas episode which I am sooooo excited about! I’m guessing the Christmas episode follows season II and will be shown here next December but that is just guesswork on my part. I want to see if there is any behind-the scenes-stuff included. I also bought the Downton Abbey book which I haven’t received yet. I think I’m kind of obsessed with this show!!! It’s brilliant, interesting, well acted, just awesome! Just goes to show you don’t need loud music, trashy looking women, and lots of action to have a great show!
I don’t know if you know this but Downton Abbey is nominated for 5 Emmy Awards at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday! I am going to record it, fast-forward through everything else and watch the mini-series awards. I know the show itself is nominated as well as Elizabeth McGovern, Hugh Bonneville, and Maggie Smith (who is so funny with just her facial expressions!). I don’t know what the last nomination is for: maybe for best writer? Can’t wait for Sunday!
