Hope absolutely has a great defense.  Even Carly said to Bo in yesterday’s show that now that Hope is not taking the pills, the anger may still there but not the behavior( which was the muggings.) Immediately they should have examined this pill issue more.  Look at the side effects more closely, talk to doctors.  This is so ridiculous.  Hope is an outstanding member of Salem, has a long history with the town and well respected. Now she just wants to rot in jail for a while for actions she is not responsible for. 

 At first I thought Brady’s kissing Nicole was a daydream of Nicole’s, that she would snap out of it and he would be there just talking to her.  I was floored to think that it was really happening.  It’s so far fetched, not only because of all the bad things Nicole has done, but also because it was so incredibly sudden on Brady’s part, even for Soapland.  But since this happened so suddenly, it must mean that Brady finds out the truth very soon, either that she is blackmailing EJ or that she framed Arianna.  Then he will be devastated and probably go back to drinking.

I just read on the Annex Board about this new show.  It says it’s a web series.  That kind of stinks.  I can watch it on my computer but I was really hoping it was going to be a tv show.

When I first saw Kate walk into the hospital with those 80’s MC Hammer pants, I couldn’t believe my eyes!  I think I actually laughed out loud.  It is not a good look for anyone, much less an older woman.  I wonder if the actors get to pick out her own clothes.  I bet they have a big say in what they wear.  She may have wanted to wear them.  Kate does like dressing differently, but even for her, those were ridiculous!             

The pants made her look like she had a big bulge in the front.  LOL!

 When he is on screen, I always think of his character on the show "Empty Nest."  I think his character’s name was Charlie.  I saw one epsidode of that show taped live in CA in the early 90’s.   Anyway, it’s kind of weird seeing him in a serious role.  Even as the DA, I half expect him to get up and just start acting all silly.

 I too was so completely moved by the gravesite memorial to Alice.  I couldn’t stop crying.  It started out as a lump in my throat and then the tears just came.   And as others have mentioned, you could totally tell that the cast was genuinely crying and moved.   I especially noticed that Melissa was really crying the entire time.  You could tell how genuinely moved she was.  And Lucas looking around the parlor one last time was a really great touch–very powerful.  And the way they led up to all this in the last couple of weeks with all the flashbacks and old characters coming back was extremely well done. 

I could have done without the Kimberly and Shane angy scene at the end.  It seemed out of place after all the love and emotion.  They should have just ended the episode before that.  But that is just a small thing.

Overall, an outstanding tribute and very beautifullly done.

I was just noticing in yesterday’s show that I think the veterans have been getting a lot more screen time than they have for a long time and I think that’s why I am enjoying the show more now than I have in a long while.  Remember when the teens were dominating almost the whole show with ridiculous, redundant storylines?  Victor, Vivian, Stefano, Maggie are all getting front-burner stories.  Even Caroline, who we hadn’t seen in a long time, has been on a little more.  I really hope they continue this and that we see more and more of these gifted actors.  And it’s great when we see them interracting with the younger folk too.  This is how it should be.
