ParticipantMaybe his resemblance to Nick is important because he is a Horton.

ParticipantTom Horton was a doctor—a well educated man. He and Alice seemed to know how to read. I’m guessing they could have read magazines or newspapers that would have used that term. Also, the only people at this point calling it a time capsule are those of us here today. I don’t recall any note saying this is a time capsule.

ParticipantI don’t remember much about Jessica except that she was Marie’s daughter and that she had multiple personality disorder.

ParticipantFirst, I really enjoyed this episode with Julie and Everett. I’m not sure the writers even know what they’re doing with Everett’s character. They brought up Nick Fallon, they brought up Tommy Horton. They didn’t bring up Jessica, Marie’s daughter, but didn’t she have a split personality? Could Everett be a long lost twin? My bigger question is does no one in Salem know about Google? Any one of these people could google Everett’s name and/or Bobby’s name and see what pops up. This is a man who was an award winning journalist. Shouldn’t he have something online or a social media presence somewhere? This is the 21st century. Are the writers unaware of the internet?

ParticipantThe term was first used in 1937, but the idea of time capsules is from much earlier. https://web.uvic.ca/vv/student/edges_of_time/timecapsules.html#:~:text=The%20time%20capsule%20and%20its,time%20capsule%20is%20much%20older.

ParticipantI have to agree. They just seemed to drop everything. I wonder if this has anything to do with the scab writers and moving into our regular writing team. It seems so odd that we rushed to start these stories and then just poof! They’re gone. I especially want this Konstantin and Teresa storyline to move. Why did they have Konstantin go from wooing Maggie and harassing Teresa to all of a sudden harassing Steve and John? It’s like they got bored writing one story so they moved on and wrote another one. It’s like that with every storyline you mentioned.
As for Everett, I’ve heard rumors that Everett might have DID, or possibly it’s like a Bourne Identity storyline. I hope he’s not involved with Clyde. And speaking of Clyde, is this not the most stupid storyline. He’s more powerful than the Dimeras and he basically is running a kingpin type drug ring (and an entire town) from a prison cell. What the hell? I hope they kill Clyde off soon. I’m so sick of him.

ParticipantIf you’ve seen the previews for next week, Holly tells Nicole the drugs weren’t from Tate. I don’t think she’ll need to be hypnotized.
As for Konstantin and this stupid Pawn storyline, please let it end. I’m so sick of Teresa trying to get Alex’s money, the inheritance really being Xanders, and this terrible actor who plays Konstantin looking for revenge. End it please and put us all out of our misery.

ParticipantNo, his last scene will be in May. His death will be played out some time after May.
mommytutu
ParticipantThey just dedicated the episode to his memory. They did the same when John Aniston died and even when Arlene Sorkin died.

ParticipantScenes with Doug’s passing won’t be seen until about 6 months from now. We’ve seen no previews for that. I don’t even know if they’ve shot the episode with Doug’s passing yet, considering Susan is probably still home and grieving Bill’s passing.

ParticipantEli’s father was David Banning whose mother is Julie Olsen Williams. Her mother is Addie Horton. This doesn’t make Eli less a Horton than Will. He’s still a Horton. With your logic, you’re saying because the Horton relative that connects to Tom and Alice is a female, it makes someone less a Horton. Will’s connection is all male relatives. That sounds pretty sexist when you say Eli is family by an olive branch and Will’s family built the tree. It’s the same family! Bill Horton and Addie Horton were siblings.

ParticipantI think you’re making a big to-do about nothing. And you’re reading more into the ornament situation than is there.
mommytutu
ParticipantMost of the ornaments were not shown. I think it was enough that they explained that the ornaments survived.

ParticipantI loved this episode. It was so sweet. I loved everyone sharing memories, I even like that Lucas was there. I was so happy to see that the ornaments survived. I know so many of us long time viewers were worried about the ornaments and now we know the tradition of the Horton ornaments can live on. I would also like to say that it was the perfect episode to dedicate to Bill Hayes’s memory. Just a beautiful show. And I liked that the story Leo told made sense. Glad to see they are finally making the Spectator the great paper it was under Jack and Jennifer.

ParticipantAll I can tell you is this has a lot to do with audio production. They did a bad job on it, but it wasn’t awful. I actually liked the song, I liked the lyrics, and hopefully we’ll see more of his talent on the show, but with better audio production.
