Most of the ornaments were not shown. I think it was enough that they explained that the ornaments survived.
February 22, 2024 at 8:41 am in reply to: February 21 Episode-Surveying the Burned Horton House #60889mommytutuParticipantI loved this episode. It was so sweet. I loved everyone sharing memories, I even like that Lucas was there. I was so happy to see that the ornaments survived. I know so many of us long time viewers were worried about the ornaments and now we know the tradition of the Horton ornaments can live on. I would also like to say that it was the perfect episode to dedicate to Bill Hayes’s memory. Just a beautiful show. And I liked that the story Leo told made sense. Glad to see they are finally making the Spectator the great paper it was under Jack and Jennifer.
mommytutuParticipantAll I can tell you is this has a lot to do with audio production. They did a bad job on it, but it wasn’t awful. I actually liked the song, I liked the lyrics, and hopefully we’ll see more of his talent on the show, but with better audio production.
mommytutuParticipantI think they had him record it then lip sync it. That was a bad move on production because I liked the song, but it did have a weird sound. Carson Boatman has a very good voice and they should have let him sing that live, not dubbed over.
I don’t remember what Konstantin said was the name of the dish. I also can’t believe Maggie being married to Victor for so long had never had the dish. I’m ready for episodes with the real writers because Days seems to have scraped the bottom of the barrel for these writers.
mommytutuParticipantSorry, but nobody gets your point. You’re comparing mostly living people whose characters died to real humans who died. It really doesn’t matter how the characters come to an ending, as long as we don’t just have them disappear. I still think with SSH being on the show, Doug’s death will be dignified. As for John Aniston, I wasn’t upset that they had him die in a plane crash. That made it seem like Victor was full of vim and vigor when he died. None of us had to have a long drawn out illness when in real life John Aniston was dead. I’m just glad we didn’t have him out of town or resting in his room for years. One character that I didn’t like the death of, was Stefano. That was absolutely awful how we had him on the run for years. Then when we finally get his “death,” they supposedly got all of his memories and personality on a flash drive implanted in Steve’s head. Talk about a crappy storyline. They should have respectfully let Joe Mascolo’s character die instead of the sci-fi crap they gave us.
mommytutuParticipantJohn Aniston’s wife died in 2022. Also, even if she were alive, she’s not on Days. She wouldn’t have to mourn him twice. Susan Seaforth Hayes is on the show. She has mourned him in real life and she will have to mourn him twice. I’m sure TPTB will be respectful.
mommytutuParticipantSuzanne Rogers is not really married to John Aniston. Susan Seaforth Hayes is really Bill Hayes’s wife. Big difference.
mommytutuParticipantI am hoping that because Susan is still on the show, they will be incredibly respectful of the way they explain Doug’s death. BTW, that won’t happen until after May, because Doug’s last scenes will happen in May.
mommytutuParticipantI was traveling for several days and have not watched since last Tuesday or Wednesday. Wanted to watch yesterday and our internet was out. Hopefully I’ll be able to catch up by next week.
As for the ornaments, I sure hope the ornaments are saved. I remember at Christmas them making a big deal out of the fact that some ornaments kind of get retired and stored in the attic. Hopefully, Doug and Julie’s ornaments will survive along with Tom and Alice’s ornaments, then those of family members still on the show and part of the family. Or for that matter, make that the Easter miracle when all is settled and sorted after the fire. I do think they did a fire in order to re-do the set and make the Horton house more modern. I actually feel like Jack and Jennifer could have remodeled the house when they lived there, but the opportunity was lost. Now they want it to look more 21st century, so they are using the ruse of a fire and possibly Clyde Weston to give the set a fresh look.
mommytutuParticipantThe viewers already know that Xander is Victor’s son. That’s not news to the viewers. Saying the scenes have been filmed is no big deal.
mommytutuParticipantI still don’t know what you’re talking about what did RSW say? If it’s a spoiler, actors do that often, just giving little hints here and there.
mommytutuParticipantVictor never adopted Sarah. Mickey is her dad, legally speaking.
mommytutuParticipantNo, I don’t get an ick factor from them. First of all, Xander and Sarah have been together since before we knew he was Victor’s son. Second even if they are now kinda sorta related they are on step siblings absolutely no blood. The problem with Kristin and Tony is that Kristin is a legally adopted child. She always knew Tony as her brother, there’s the ick factor.
mommytutuParticipantFrom your previous posts, you seem to have a lot of vitriol for Will and Sonny. Always calling them the ambiguously gay couple. Now you are pushing for Tate to be gay and have a gay relationship. Can you please explain this to me? I don’t care who’s gay and who isn’t, but I just don’t get this pushing, pushing, pushing for Tate to be gay, especially when you seem to have hated Will and Sonny so much.
mommytutuParticipantI’m betting once this storyline is finished, Lucas’s sentence will be commuted and he’ll be out. I don’t see how what Lucas did to Sami is any worse than the things Kristin, Gwen, and Ava have done and they’re all on the loose.
