I agree, I don’t want Constantine to be John’s father either, but for some reason it looks like the writers and TPTB want to rewrite John’s history again. It is getting old. I want them to keep DVD as John’s dad, but I cannot figure out Constantine’s relationship to John or why he would know John, unless he just knows his real name and what he did during the years that John has no recollection of his life.
mommytutuParticipantI’m still trying to figure out if they’re going to make Constantine John’s father. Every time he seems to recognize John’s eyes, it makes me wonder. Especially after Constantine said he never saw the pawn, only heard of him. So he wouldn’t recognize John from being the Pawn. I also heard they were going to re-write John’s past yet again. Which all leads me to believe, from the rumor you heard, that DVD is not returning, but that Constantine will be revealed as John’s father.
mommytutuParticipantGood point on #1. #2, I have heard that Holly is going to be off set for about a month, but nothing about Nicole. I’m guessing that there will be a reason why Nicole can not go and be with Holly. Otherwise, you are right, what happens to this storyline if Nicole is gone? #3 who is Martin Mann? #4, I usually skip the intro, but I think I heard Marlena do it on the last Beyond Salem. I don’t know what’s going on now.
mommytutuParticipantMy opinion is that instead of making a subtle point, the majority of the episode felt very scolding to the viewers. I did like the interaction of characters yesterday, why don’t we have that more often. I liked Johnny and Channel with Rafe and Jada. I liked seeing Chad, Leo, and Everett being civil and talking with each other. They could have those interactions every day on the show. I was actually hoping that with it being Abe’s and Paulina’s anniversary, that he would get his memory back. At this point, I don’t think that’s going to happen.
mommytutuParticipantI posted this in another thread, but no biggie. I am so happy that we as viewers got to see him on the Christmas episode. Also love that we were able to see him with Dick Van Dyke. I did hear that we will see him again in February and possibly May. I am sure he will have a beautiful memorial on Days—-at least he better. I am just so sure it will be a very difficult episode for the entire cast, especially his wife Susan.
mommytutuParticipantNo they haven’t been removed.
mommytutuParticipantI think they aren’t repeating that scene because we all watched it happen. If you recall we didn’t see Andre’s murder until we had memories from Abigail of that night. No one else saw it, not even us. But we all watched Holly show the bag of pills to Tate. No need to prove to us any further that they were Holly’s pills.
mommytutuParticipantI don’t understand this ruthless, evil, vengeful EJ. He has Johnny and Sydney and should understand a father’s anguish for his son. Tate is 16. He didn’t murder anyone. He should not be in an adult jail. I think it was mentioned that he was being held for manslaughter. How? Holly is still alive! The only thing Tate is truly guilty of, is obstruction of justice by trying to hide the pills that Holly took. That’s not an offense that gets a 16 year old in an adult jail. And by the way, if he’s in the same place as Lucas and Clyde—that’s prison. At worst, Tate would be in the county jail, not prison with Clyde who is a murderer. I hope Paulina steps in because EJ is being a total a-hole.
mommytutuParticipantBy your logic no new character could have a back story.
mommytutuParticipantYou seem to mix up reality with this made up story. Everett has to have a back story. Why couldn’t he have had a friend in Seattle who died of a drug overdose. Trust me when I tell you people are dying daily in Seattle from fentanyl overdoses. Now I’m not sure if Everett made up the story to Stephanie for sympathy, because we do know he is liar about something in his past with Jada, but it’s also plausible this really happened in his past. A character doesn’t have to have been in our orbit for that character’s past to exist. They are characters.
mommytutuParticipantYou can hit edit and delete it all.
mommytutuParticipantYes! EJ was just evil! This whole storyline is so absolutely inaccurate. And letting EJ dictate what happens to Tate is so wrong.
Let me count the ways—first EJ should recuse himself from this case, there is a conflict of interest since this story involves his step daughter. Second, there is a Good Samaritan law that says if a person finds a person has OD’d, and they call the police, they can not be held responsible for that overdose especially without proof. Third, the worst thing Tate could be responsible for is attempting to obstruct an investigation, same as Brady. Fourth, Tate has no prior convictions for anything and he’s 16 or 17. No one would throw him in an adult jail/prison. He would probably be sent to a juvenile detention center.
EJ is going to eat his words when everyone finds out that Holly is a wild child and bought those drugs all on her own. But knowing EJ, he’ll want to keep prosecuting Tate. Justin is an awful lawyer and I see next week he quits representing Tate. Maybe everyone should have listened to Alex.
mommytutuParticipantYes on the accent. I noticed it a lot in the past few days. I am having a very difficult time seeing Theresa. I still see Gwen and her accent keeps slipping so I’m hearing Gwen too.
mommytutuParticipantNicole’s focus on Holly is what’s knocking it out of the park. She is an amazing actress. The stupid part is Tate and Brady.
mommytutuParticipantI agree. However, I bet they played up DVD calling to wish Merry Christmas because of John’s upcoming pawn storyline.
