When the writers don’t know what to write and the creative juices aren’t flowing, they throw in those sex scenes. It takes up screen time and there’s no dialog. I don’t think the writers have figured out that we don’t need or want to see that.
I was feeling the same way about Melanie and now she’s blown it. I don’t understand why she felt the need to listen to Kate and then threaten Chloe. Get over it! Yes, she and Daniel were engaged, but they weren’t married. And what would be the purpose now–to break up their marriage. Can she really be so nuts that she thinks it’s better to tell daddy and have him leave his wife? This is going to bite Melanie on the a$$.
That’s probably where this is heading. Wonder if the writers want to put her with EJ again. I could see her telling EJ she has evidence but he has to let her back into the mansion so she can live with Sydney again.
Between the idiot witness–who certainly didn’t need to personally tell Rafe what he saw, much less EJ–Melanie who’s driving me nuts, and that whacko, Vivian throwing Maggie in the sarcophagus, I found the whole show to be a wasted episode. I’m still trying to figure out how the sarcophagus wasn’t grotesque after all that time. Vivian said she was being fed gruel, just how did she get rid of her waste? Did she have a catheter or a colostomy bag? My first thought out wouldn’t be to throw Maggie in, it would have been to get a shower and change.
Melanie’s voice is getting that high-pitched scream tone again–YUCK! I just want to hit her with a shoe! And have I said how much I despise EJ! Can we please put him in a coma again?
He was so gorgeous with shorter clean hair. He has been having a bad hair day for over 2 years now and it is detracting from his gorgeous face. I don’t even notice those dimples anymore because I’m focused on the yucky hair. Please fix it!!!!!
I’m glad Melanie has been redeemed, but let’s face it, she is no angel. Look at the havoc she wreaked in Salem with Nick, Max, Stephanie, etc. and she has the nerve to act like she is a saint. And Kate of all people bad-mouthing Chloe? Wasn’t Kate a hooker? Didn’t she attempt to kill Victor and Chloe? And I recall her sleeping with Nicholas Alamain and EJ too. So she’s not one to be talking. The writers are really getting lazy.
Nicole will find the camera and use it as leveredge with EJ so that she can see Sydney. That will probably end her relationship with Brady. I wouldn’t be surprised if the writers put her and EJ back together since it seems there is no hope for EJ with Sami (thank goodness)! Maybe this will turn out interesting after all.
Why do I keep thinking Phillip’s baby (Pocket) was called Parker at some point? I might be wrong, but I could have sworn there was another baby Parker on the show. As for the name–it sucks! I agree with Pammydog, the names just don’t go together. Of course if the baby is a Kiriakis, the name Parker doesn’t sound so bad, and baby will have same initials as daddy.
there is no excuse for us not to have seen all of those cute kids dressed for Halloween. Sydney, Allie, Johnny, Ciara, Theo, even the teens should have all been dressed for the holiday. There should have been a little fun.

I’m glad Ari is not long for this world, but I would rather have seen Ari and EJ get together, then none of this would have happened. EJ wouldn’t have been hell bent on revenge, Ari wouldn’t have been paired with Brady and thus become a whiny character. If EJ and Ari were together at the get go, that would have made a great long-lasting story, Sami’s ex with Rafe’s sister. Good vs. Evil! There were possibilities, the writers blew it.
