Let me join you with that walker. So, so happy to hear you mention all that screeching that just makes no sense to me. What in the heck is the point of all that?? They even do this to The Star Spangled Banner these days. How awful. When I listen to all the beautiful music from the forties and fifties I am amazed what has happened to our music (and I use that term with clinched teeth). Is it just that we are old, Bonbon or what??? I cannot listen to it at all anymore.
mshults60ParticipantYes, this viewer is still totally hooked and it is amazing how many folks I have mentioned it to that are already watching it. The final last night was just perfect and it will be missed for months. I hear Sept. is the new season release date. I had to laugh out loud last night when Sir Richard turned to Maggie Smith and told her she wouldn’t see him anymore and she looked right in his face and said, "Promise"!! Her lines are worth the show that’s for sure.
mshults60ParticipantI think that is what I saw also, Bonbon. I had to cringe when I noticed it. Just wondering why we have to keep being hit over the head with all these slezy sex scenes. As someone mentioned, this is not the romance we were promised earlier. I fear it is going to get worse.
mshults60ParticipantThe closing was just so unexpected and so heartfelt. It really brought tears to my eyes. Any, yes, Thanks always to those who gave so much. Does anyone know if those were actors or folks from the military.
mshults60ParticipantI have watched this soap since Day One and have refused to give up on it all these last dreadful years, but, like you, they are just pushing me out the door now. All these silly "shirtless" scenes nearly everyday in the reception area of the spa are totally stupid. And the sleezy sex sessions are insulting. I miss those romantic days with Doug and Julie, wish they could keep them on the screen longer than once a month. Oh, well, just wanted to say to BonBon how right you are about this.
mshults60ParticipantIf you want another mystery author with tons of books to read, try Robert B. Parker. Sad to say he has recently passed away but all the wonderful stories are still to be found at your library. He was my favorite and I own all of them and they are all signed!! Give him a try. They are all very short and most can be finished in an afternoon. Books are such a treasure, read all you can.
mshults60ParticipantI just started watching season one via my Netflix account. Yes, it is just such a wonderful production and I am hooked already. The costumes have been so much fun to watch also. They really knew how to dress. Wonder what they would think of all our T-shirts and jeans?? Most folks today look like a bunch of rag-a-muffins. (I loved being a teen in the fifties!!)
mshults60Participantand how lovely to see Doug and Julie—they are still looking fantastic. It was a time to remember Tom and Alice too. They did a much better job of that than they have done the past few years. And, I was going to log on here to put in my thoughts on that poor couch!! The only place in that whole mansion to have a romp. And that young actor playing Will is having an actor’s dream role right now. His facial expressions are telling a vivid tale. It was so neat when he just couldn’t listen to Sami for one more minute and screamed at her, You are such a hypocrite.
mshults60ParticipantNow do you believe in Santa?????
mshults60Participantwith Bonbon on the overlong conversations day after day. They are boring me so much that I always keep a book in hand to fill in the gaps. Surely the writers can come up with some new things to discuss and new story lines to develop. Move it along, folks.
mshults60ParticipantI was going to post just about the same thing a while ago but since I had already jumped on the Jack and Jenn endless dialog before, I backed off. But I must agree and agree againg with everything you posted above. How many more times do you all suppose we will have to listen to this same debate over and over. So childish.

October 15, 2011 at 4:07 pm in reply to: Revenge got picked up for the season but Charlie’s Angels… #27627mshults60Participantsince Revenge was my favorite of the new ones I have watched. Of you that are watching it, what do you suppose they will do with the story line once she has had her "revenge" on all those involved. Not sure just what they would do at that point with no one left to torment. Any ideas???
mshults60ParticipantThanks, for mentioning all of those great shows. I agree with every thing you had to say. You forgot Laugh In—oh, how cute that show was. I also just can’t find the humor in those new ones, The Office and 30 Rock. And,then there were all those wonderful movies from the fifties. Most of these movies now are such trash, so many potty jokes. How many of those can folks continue to laugh at. Off my soap box now too!!!
mshults60ParticipantWatching that kind of gives a few chill bumps–love it. However, I also hope we have a lot more of Doug and Julie.
