PattiParticipant
unless I am posting directly under your name, which I am now, my posts are directed at the original post and my answer is directed to the originator of that post, so sorry if you felt I was contradicting you, per se. Second, I don’t like the fact that Sami jumps in and out of mens’ beds as if they were connected by a trampoline either; but, the gist of my opinion is that Sami finally did admit, for a change, what she is, what she has done in the past, and is finally going to admit that this imposter of love in the form of E.J. DiMera is not what is best for her, and although I see everyone’s point about her rash decision to leave her children and go off with Rafe, I can understand that she wanted him to know how she truly felt about him, and that’s all it was. I also do not think she should have stayed overnight with him. Sure, they should have simply ‘kissed and made up’ and Sami should have returned to her kids. I just like the way they talked everything out and finally made each other aware of how and why things got this far out of control, and now that they understand and their love seems to be secure, I hope they take it slow, but from what I’ve read, this will not be the case. Instead, they will jump from the frying pan into the fire with an almost immediate marriage proposal and engagement. Now, that’s more disgusting to me than their making love on yesterday’s show. Like I said in another post, these children, as well as Ciara Brady, are going to need some serious therapy by the time they are SORASed.
PattiParticipantbecause there simply isn’t any, from the legality of any situation, professional ethics, medical misinformation, law enforcement, and the list goes on and on. I guess that’s where the phrase "IOASO" comes from.
PattiParticipantyou mean as opposed to "BANGING" E.J., who has done nothing but lie, cheat, steal, manipulate, intimidate, instigate, and any other gate to hell he would have liked her to wander through? At least Sami stopped herself with Rafe and admitted …… yes, I said admitted ….. to today that she made a lot of mistakes in her life; that she continues to make bad decisions; and that she thought she had matured, but obviously she has not to have made the horrible mistake of believing E.J., who, by the way, evidently found no problem today in either killing or attempting to kill, George, Nicole’s FBI bodyguard, just to get to Nicole so that he could, wait…..what….oh, yeah, kill her, too, for ruining his plans. Frankly, I was encouraged by Sami today. She knew her children were with HER family, that they were asleep, and that they were safe and sound and protected. I also was genuinely impressed with the way Rafe handled her situation, calmly, lovingly, and assuring her that he understood why she stopped. Maybe for the first time in a very long time, I was actually proud of Sami today. She almost made a horrendous, hideous mistake by marrying this disgusting s.o.b., E.J., simply out of spite because she saw the man she truly loved in what she believed to be a situation that was in no way what she perceived it to be. Sure, she reacted impulsively and it almost cost her everything. But she was not about to let him walk out of her life again without letting him know how she truly felt. So thanks, Rafe. Whether it will be worth your while …. only time will tell …. but I loved their actions and reactions toward each other today and hope it will finally allow Sami to continue to find strength in a man who, in all honesty, really and truly loves her, and not one who only wishes to possess her. You know, I think back to when E.J. raped (yes, it was rape) Sami and I vividly remember him telling her just before he did, "it’s time to pay the devil his dues." Well, right back atcha’ because you’ll be damned in ways you could never believe would happen to a DiMera when Sami finally decides that paybacks are a bitch, so here she comes, Lucifer. You’ll need your pitchfork and a clear head to fend off this one. All things said and done, I absolutely loved the show today, and the stories are moving well and gaining speed in the interest department. Lots of good things coming our way.
PattiParticipantand he has played a long list of mobsters and henchmen.
PattiParticipantbecause Lindsay Hartley can act. She is deserving of so much more than this pitiful out-house of a story-line she was given. The writing for Ariana has been one of the worst I’ve seen in a character, on this or any other soap, where the actor/actress does not deserve the crap she’s been handed and expected to make a likable character out of it. Characters like E.J. and Stefano, Sami, Nicole, Victor …. these are characters who, regardless of their bad-ass, vindictive ways, are respected and loved by many because the actors who portray them are legends. Lindsay was given a shitty role and forced to recite horrible dialogue, and wasn’t around long enough to be appreciated. I love Lindsay Hartley, and I wish her the best in obtaining a role, whether it be in soaps or otherwise, that will give her the recognition and praise she deserves because of the terrific actress she is. All the best, Lindsay.
PattiParticipantSORAS these kids, especially to teens, they will ALL be a handful. After all, look at the role models they’ve had to deal with. Poor kids ….. you know what they say …. you can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your parents. Lord have mercy on these children when they do grow up. Same for Ciara, I’m afraid.
PattiParticipant1) Sister Anne might have known the results BEFORE Carly looked at them since she may have entered them herself, and realized afterward that they were changed; or
2) It’s possible that Phillip’s "super-tech", who he referred to as ‘Leonard’, might, in fact, be Stephanie’s friend, Ian, and Phillip had him change the results before Stephanie got to him. Maybe Stephanie knew him from working at Titan, and since he’s got the ‘hots’ for Stephanie, he would have wanted the results to stay positive, not realizing they had already been changed at St. Mary’s.
YIKES! Just more speculation to make things a little more puzzling than they already are.
PattiParticipantespecially Stefano finding out that Chad is his son. This, too, will be a huge storyline when E.J. begins to recover (and we all know he will). Ari getting run over by a car …. is this her exit storyline …. killing her off? I think the writers missed the boat here, because it was obvious she was getting a little more than interested in E.J., and that would have been a really good story to unfold, being as how she is Rafe’s sister, the man who put him in the situation he is in today, because I think Ari being involvedwith E.J. would have blown Rafe’s mind. If Rafe quits the FBI, it’s evident to me that he’ll wind up on the Salem P.D., and that might be interesting down the road. A smart cop in Salem …. unthinkable. Brady and Nicole …. together again??? And part of a Vivian storyline …. could be fun to watch seeing as how Brady hates Vivian and Nicole loves Brady and would do anything for him. I’ll be interested in seeing where this goes. And, finally, Melanie learning Chloe cheated on Daniel is bound to be explosive, seeing as how Melanie has the most to gain from this. I see this as the beginning story of Daniel and Carly reuniting, as well as Mel and Nathan. Good stuff coming up if the writers can pull it off without too much boredom.
PattiParticipantif that’s what you want to call a one-nighter, but doesn’t know it was with Phillip. Then we saw him at the hospital on his computer, which he hid from the nurse when she approached him, and then, when he got home and Stefanie said something about where he was, he said he was just checking some test results, so I’m not counting him out either. But I do like the idea of how they’re writing it. Not only do we still have no idea of who this baby’s biological father is, but we now have it combined with who changed the results? Another reveal that will probably be left wide open with suspicious minds all around, but not to be revealed until November sweeps. I am no fan of Danloe, but I am beginning to get a little more interested in the story-line, because it’s one of those umbrella plots that will affect many other characters besides Chloe and Daniel.
PattiParticipantbut as I stressed on another topic, E.J. is so obsessed with Sami that he simply cannot put this entire situation into a perspective that he can, nor will he ever, accept. He says in one breath that he loves his family, especially his children, and then he goes and pulls off something like he did with Sydney. He MUST own that over which he obsesses. He will never have it any other way. I thought BOTH James and Ali did a splendid job acting this non-wedding situation out. Every bit of emotion and reasoning behind those emotions was emitted from both actors, and I agree that Sami has been no angel in her past, but I truly believe that she is in love with Rafe, NOT E.J. She has some sort of feelings for E.J., and let’s face it, he can be very persuasive. I posted in another topic that perhaps if E.J. could have cut ties with Stefano and his extreme influence over E.J., he and Sami might have had a chance. As it stands now, Stefano has been the major wedge between them. And who is going to come out of this the biggest loser …. not Sami (no pun intended), and not E.J., but my poor red hot FBI man, Rafe, who, after all of his caring and all of the effort put forth to bring this situation to a close for the woman he loves unconditionally, I am afraid will wind up on the *hitty end of the stick, because E.J. will undoubtedly come through this by November sweeps and his evil will be back in full force, which means that he will still be using his children as his shield to obtain the one thing he will never have … his power over Sami, because she will never truly love him.
PattiParticipantbecause for some reason I thought he was like 6 or 7 years old when Isabella died.
PattiParticipantwhen she was a teenager and/or very young; E.J. is doing everything wrong. He could have had Sami on a silver platter. All he had to do was break away from Stefano, leave the mansion knowing how much Sami hated his association with Stefano, but ever since he came to town, all he has ever been concerned with was pleasing Stefano’s every command, thus reaching the point he is at today. It’s not a question of being biased, it’s a matter of where your priorities lie, and I have never been confused about E.J. He doesn’t love, he obsesses, and this time it cost him dearly. I need no explanation as to why Sami kept her pregnancy from him, and surprisingly it wasn’t because of E.J. Hell, she was still calling his name when she was in witness protection. She simply refused to raise another child that Stefano could have any influence over. Now, if she just keeps her senses about her, I’ll be able to tolerate her; if not, she might as well simply recant her actions and marry E.J., and the two of them and Stefano can live miserably ever after.
PattiParticipantwould be more concerned about who switched the paternity test than she would about why her daughter cares so much about a couple she should have no concern over. Maybe Nathan switched the test first, and then it was switched back again by someone else, and Dan really will be the daddy. All in all, I think by the time this mystery is solved, Stephanie will have hung herself where her and Nathan are concerned, so hopefully when Kayla leaves, she’ll take Stephanie with her.
PattiParticipanthe will certainly be in need of his mother’s intervention. She will probably be the only one who can help him see things clearly. I suppose that time in the crypt when Brady was talking to her was a sign of things to come, although I will never understand how they could explain how he never knew his mother.
PattiParticipantE.J. may not be out, but DAYYYUUUMMM, he’s down for what is going to be a while, anyway, and the worst is yet to come. Question now is will he learn anything from this, or will his true DiMera alter surface? I’m betting on the latter.
