 about how the actors feel about the firing of Lindsay Hartley (Arianna).  The quotes were from a Days fan event in South Carolina, and would appear to have been right after James’ new haircut was revealed.  The one that interested me the most was Eric Martsolf’s statement about why soap characters where here today, gone tomorrow.  He said something to the effect that if they decide to write the character out, they can do something as simple as ship him/her off to Switzerland to have "brain surgery."  Now, I’m not taking that as a spoiler as to how/why James got this haircut, but it definitely put a "hmmmmm….I wonder" thought in my mind.  Is E.J. going to have to have brain surgery for some reason or another and be off-canvas for a while?  Just thought that was an interesting analogy.  You can check it out on Soaps.com, click on News and scroll down to the first article about cast comments.  Here’s an excerpt from that article:

 the other day but in another thread.  If Madeline is his biological mom, what happened to him being adopted?  So now I guess we are to assume that he was adopted by D.A. Woods after he married Madeline, which probably is why he doesn’t know about her past anymore than Chad does.  He gave me the impression that he was proud of her being nominated for a Court of Appeals judge.  I’m sure now that he has no knowledge of her "working" days with Kate.  So now I’m wondering if Nicholas Alamain could be his biological father.  If Kate had an illicite interlude or two with Nickey back in the day, perhaps Madeline did, too, and since Kate and Carly are good friends, she could have the same response if Chad is an Alamain.  Just a twisted guess; he’s probably Stefano’s kid.  By the way, just how old was Nick when him and Kate did the horizontal mambo anyway?  Wouldn’t we just love to see that little secret come out to Carly about one of her dear friends, who is telling her not to trust Chloe because she cheated on her (Kate’s) son.  

 understanding, lovable Brady matriarch whom everybody, not only Bradys, went to for guidance and wisdom.  Now they have seen fit to turn Caroline into a nothing more than a shrew who appears to still have a green eyed monster living in her head, even at her age.  I don’t think the writers stop and think before they use "THEIR" type of story telling to make a person appear interesting enough to be discussed on the boards.  Caroline Brady should never be portrayed in this ugly light. It’s almost irreverent.  It is simply a poor choice on the part of these inept writers to put Caroline Brady’s schoolgirl attitude on display by attempting to put her iin the same category as that of a Sami Brady or a Nicole Walker or any other younger character who is jealous, except in Caroline’s case all it does is make her look foolish, IMHO.

 True, James would look great in any style, but this one’s not for me.  Never did like the buzz cut.  He would look hotter than a firecracker on the 4th of July if he had a stylish, short, sorta’ spikey cut, something like Ryan Seacrest, maybe.

 but has it ever been mentioned if he (Chad) knows he’s adopted?  Interesting, now that I think about it.  Maybe D. A. Woods adopted Chad when he married Madeline, and that’s been the whole reason for his animosity toward Chad in the first place.  Madeline would have been his biological mother, but already had Chad when she met and eventually married D.A. Woods.  She said when she got out of the "business" that she left Salem, went to law school, graduated and became a lawyer.  Maybe she worked with the D.A. when he was a young attorney, they fell in love, eventually married, etc., etc.  Chad would be the D.A.’s adopted son, but Madeline is his biological mother, and the D.A. has always been resentful toward Chad.  Boy, is this one going to hit the fan when the truth comes out, and you’d better watch out, Kate.  Didn’t you promise Stefano not to ever hide the truth from him again?
