PattiParticipant
instead of getting better (since it is May sweeps), the story lines keep getting worse. I am almost to the point where I am embarrassed to say I am a DOOL fan to another true soap lover. I have always adored and greatly admire Kristian Alfonso and was so extremely happy to hear she was going to get a front-burner story; however, the disappointment in it thus far has been extremely frustrating. It makes no sense whatsoever in so many ways that it becomes not an interesting yet mysterious puzzle, but instead a laughing stock and the butt of many many a joke, not just on Prevuze, but other message/spoiler boards as well. I can only imagine, if she ever reads a message board ANYWHERE, what Kristian, or any other cast associated with this story line, must be thinking by now. I know they have to save face somehow, so they praise the writing and go beyond words when being interviewed, but honestly, how can accomplished, talented actors praise this shit??? Beats me.
PattiParticipantas a matter of fact I’ve read several boards’ spoilers contradicting one another in that some say they marry, some say they don’t; but NONE says he dies. It’s probably one of Viv’s tricks because Victor told her that his family can’t stand her, especially her favorite, Phillip. Oh, you can bet, she’s up to something.

PattiParticipantI’ve been thinking the same thing ever since I KNOW I watched it for the tenth time. Give us a break; we know what they did, they know what they did, about the only ones who don’t are their mates. Enough already!
PattiParticipantwhen she is in some sort of confrontational scene, like she was today (Tuesday) with Nicole. She was sensible as all hell while she was humiliating Nicole in front of Phillip. Wish they would keep her that way.
PattiParticipantshe talks out of both sides of her face most of the time. It was like she was saying to Chloe, ‘do as I say, not as I do.’ I know the writers are trying to make Carly into a somewhat likable person with good intentions all around, but you know what they say about the road to hell being paved with good intentions…. Carly, please give up the advice column until you can straighten out your own life.
PattiParticipantbefore Stefano turns him into a DiMera. I will say one thing, Chandler Massey is doing a superb job of portraying Will as the rebellious teenager that he has become. But, again, I feel like Sami is to blame. If she would not have allowed E.J. to move into her place to begin with, she would not be facing these problems with Will today. He seemed to be getting along well with Sami before he realized that E.J. had moved into his mother’s place. So, do I feel sorry for Will — absolutely — he’s headed down the path of destruction. Now, ask me if I feel sorry for Sami — hell, no, she put him on it.
PattiParticipantonce a week, and my grandkids look forward to it every Wednesday. The kids start discussing what they want to play right after school AND HOMEWORK is finished. Sometimes its tv/interactive, like "Scene It" or "Family Feud DVD", sometimes it’s a board game (they still love the old standards like Clue, Monopoly, and games I remember playing from childhood), and sometimes its cards. We play a game called "Love Thy Neighbor" with cards and dice, and anyone can roll you out for the win, so I guess I must really be a bad influence, because we play with cards AND dice. It can last for hours, because it’s very hard to make two or twelve on the dice, but the kids are occupied, love the game, and have a great time playing it. Of course, I make popcorn and serve other treats, so "game night" is a big hoopla at our house. Now, my little one (4-year old grandson, who I babysit and have every day), has become addicted to "War" (another card game that can go on and on and on), but you would be shocked at how much he has learned from playing it. He already knew how to count, knows all of his colors, shapes, etc., and as someone else said, has learned who wins by counting the spots on the cards. I tell him he’s going to be so smart when he starts Pre-K in September, and he gets so proud of himself. So, no, I don’t see anything wrong with cards, as long as no money or intent to gamble is involved. I did object to E.J. lighting up the cigar, though. That was waaaayyyy worse, IMHO.
PattiParticipantthat sometime in the not too distant future Chloe’s and Philip’s roll in the hay will come out and Carly will be Daniel’s shoulder to cry on, while Phillip will be getting exactly what he deserves. Why should Chloe be the only one hurt in this? He is just as much a cheating liar as she is. Then hopefully we will either see the right partners being put into place, or they will be written off, simple as that. I don’t hate Carly half as much now as I did when she first returned. Now that I’ve had the chance to see the wrong-doings of BOTH Bo and Hope which put them and their marriage where they are today, I can’t blame it entirely on Carly. I do feel sorry for poor Justin. He has been Hope’s corner for a while now, and all the poor sucker gets for his admiration is a smack-down any time he tries to show Hope he truly cares. Bo has not been innocent in all of this. Carly didn’t put a gun to his head; instead she tried many times, unsuccessfully, to dissuade Bo and make him see that he DID truly love Hope, but Bo made his choice, and for these reasons I simply can’t make Carly out to be the harlot most fans see her as today. If they do reconcile Bo and Hope, I think they will come together through Ciera. This kid is headed for some big problems. Since the writers have chosen to destroy Chloe Lane, I’m all for a Daniel/Carly pairing. Makes sense to me.
PattiParticipantall the while feeding Hope and Brady set-up evidence to sink Ari further and further, I wanted to literally kick her in the face. I hate Nicole once again. Her good days as Mrs. DiMera are over and done with and she is back to the pond scum she always was for me. She should still be in jail, with Anna on one side of her and E.J. on the other, and for the life of me I don’t understand how these incompetent writers think this is entertaining. I need E.J. to find her and give her what she deserves. I hope he comes to Ari’s defense and realizes that Nicole set her up and somehow takes her down (and out is okay for me, too). Of course, I want Nicole to do the same to E.J. so all of this nonsense with the sydnapping can be over, done with, gone. As for Anna, she may or may not recover from being poisoned, but get me back to South America where I can at least begin to enjoy an upcoming new adventure between Rafe and Shane. Now that’s my cup of tea, with a little honey thrown in.
PattiParticipantand she’s proved it over and over again. She is a negative of the girl she used to be way back when. Well, get over it girl. You’ve had four fabulous men in your life and you’ve managed, in one way or another, to screw your way through life, literally, with all 4 of them. Maybe that’s why Victor hates you so much. Maybe he has a right to his feelings after all. With Chloe’s looks and body, she could have it all and still wouldn’t know how to hold onto it. She’s a mess and I always find my hand on the fast-forward button whenever her scenes come on. The writers are trying my patience with this character.
PattiParticipantAri is too damned intimidated by Nicole, which bothers me because at times she can give as good as she gets, but in the end she caves and reverts back to the insecure woman she has shown herself to be thus far. As for Brady’s mixed signals, even though I condemn him for not kicking Nicole to the curb, how much more can he take? These back and forth arguments, not trusting their relationship enough so as to believe him, even though he has assured her that he loves her and wants to marry her, will eventually push him away for good. One look in Nicole’s direction, and Ari turns back into that sniveling weepy-eyed little girl who just had her favorite toy taken away from her. Grow up, Ari. In any case, I see the end of this couple, and soon. I only hope that she can learn from it and realize that that which does not kill us only makes us stronger (unless, of course, they pair her up with E.J. (LOL).)
PattiParticipantIt’s about damn time someone in law enforcement put the bad guys in their place. And who is he harassing? Should he treat Nicole and Anna with kid gloves? Hell, no! He already has the proof on them. They should both be in jail. He tried to cut Anna a break. All she had to do was give up E.J., and she would have walked. But I guess she would rather stand by the family who she knows was directly responsible for Tony’s death and where has that gotten her? POISONED! Nice going, Anna. As for Nicole, every time she struts her smug-ass self in front of the screen, knowing full well what she has done, and then rambles on with her ridiculous opinion of what’s right and what’s wrong, I keep hoping that eventually she will join those on Rafe’s list of slimeballs he is so determined to take down and out. And, I do believe it’s coming, sooner rather than later. I still hope he has the good sense to walk away from Sami, though, because she will never be free from E.J. Her stupidity of an excuse that he has fathered two of her children will always be at the forefront of some bad writing where Sami is concerned and used as an excuse to keep her in a (gag) triangle. So, let it be with someone other than Rafe. He’s waaayyyy too good for her, and I was really rooting for them in the end game. Now, not so much.
May 19, 2010 at 2:33 pm in reply to: DWTS – how fantastic were Derek and Nicole last night? WOW! Incredible routines! (eom) #13004PattiParticipantbut I must say, I’m glad to see Maks and Erin catch a break, even though I find it almost inconceivable that they could catch either Nicole or Evan. That finale, which I’m 99 44/100% sure will be between Nicole/Derek and Evan/Anna, should be the most watched show in DWTS’s history. Barring any unforeseen accident or mishaps, I’m sure it will come down to who will win with the popular vote, because to me the competitive vote is dead-even.
PattiParticipantbut I still can’t see him overtaking Crystal, although both of these kids are shining stars of the future.
