but I think Crystal will be the new American Idol (and hopefully the last). Casey should have been gone weeks and weeks ago, but he looks the part, and that’s all the young voters care about. Mike being sent home over Casey just proves that. Too bad, but Mike is truly "too" big. He doesn’t fit the look of a recording star, but he sure does have a terrific voice. He needs to tone down the body building though, if you ask me. Those big biceps, neck, shoulders, etc., don’t impress the kids. That’s why Casey is still around … because he looks like a teen idol.
May 13, 2010 at 12:52 pm in reply to: Any spoilers about Sami finding out that EJ kidnapped Sydney? #12884PattiParticipantand that’s what I am waiting patiently to see. Then he can place the blame where it truly lies ….. on his father. I need a true DiMera war – Stefano is becoming a joke.
PattiParticipantGood for you, Pammy, for sticking to your principles and being a voice of reason here and, for what it’s worth, I whole-heartedly agree with you. Will is NOT Sydney, or Johnny, or Ali. He’s a 17-year old extremely cognitive young man where his mother is concerned, and who has been mentally abused by his mother’s life-long habit of lying to suit her own needs his entire life. He has seen and managed to live through the trauma she has caused in not only his life, but in her own, as well as the harm it has brought to their family. He wants so badly for his *hit for brains mother to be someone he can be proud of. Instead, what does she do? She runs to a family who has done nothing but attempt in every way possible to destroy the Bradys, and Sami along with them. Will doesn’t want to see that any longer. He, himself, accepted an invitation to live with the Dimeras, and why … to get away from Sami or to get away from E.J. Dimera? Thank you, but it was directly because he could not stand E.J. living with him and his mother, and Sami knew that. So, does she take that into consideration? Does she take her son’s side because she loves her children so much? No. Instead, she allows the very person that she knew her son was running away from to talk her into moving back into that hell-hole. And why was that, because he cared about anyone other than his own sick needs? Seems to me he saw an opportunity to pull the wool over her eyes once again by using his father’s manipulation of him to gain control over getting her away from Rafe and back with him. I can love Sami one day and hate her the next, but that’s not what I’m here to debate. I’m here to say bully for you, Will, along with you, Pammy, and that I, too, can fully understand Will’s feelings as well as his lashing out at Sami this way. Once again, it proves to me that he can’t take much more of her lies, and I can’t say that I blame him for that, no matter how he expresses it to her. I can hope, however, that he has that magnificent moment in time when the next time he gets in her face is when he can truthfully say to her: "I told you so."
May 13, 2010 at 12:01 pm in reply to: Methinks there’s a romance blooming between Maggie and Victor. #12882PattiParticipantto new heights, I’ll welcome it. Vivian has become more than annoying; she’s pitiful and redundant and I’m very close to fast-forwarding her scenes.
PattiParticipantI certainly can’t see anyone else from DOOL receiving any top honors. I don’t believe anyone now, even Ari Zuker, comes close to Kristian when compared to that time in her and Bo’s life. If the actors nominate themselves and the story lines they want to put themselves up for, that explains a lot to me. I don’t remember now if Kristian was even nominated for Zach’s death story line, but if she was and did not receive the Emmy, it’s no wonder most of the actors don’t even care to participate. IMHO, nominating one’s self makes them appear to be begging for recognition. DOOL actors are better than that, Maybe that’s why we don’t see more DOOL actors being nominated. I mean, I could care less about the technical nominations. Let’s face it, the lighting is poor, the sets are ancient (all 3 of them), hair, make-up, wardrobe certainly leaves something to be desired, and as for a winning writing team …. well, I’ll stop here.
PattiParticipantwith her death and funeral in June. Vets will start funneling into the story line and begin to show up on screen sometime in early June (Missy Reeves’ first day will be June 9th, I believe), with the funeral taking place in a 3-day episode starting on June 23rd, and continuing on the 24th and 25th.

PattiParticipantbecause he does not allow Sami to lie her way out of a situation when he knows full well that what she says and what she does are two entirely different things. He grew up with a pathological liar for a mother and he can see through her like she was glass. I’m glad to see he doesn’t take any guff off of E.J. either. That self-serving ass doesn’t give a squat about Will or Ali, regardless of how hard he tries to make Sami believe that he does. I’m surprised he hasn’t joined Lucas in China by now.
PattiParticipantthe next character (who I know a lot of us loved) we will see in South America with Rafe will be Shane Donovan, who will be staying with the show for some 10 episodes or so. He’s still ISA and will be working with Rafe. Lots of ways they could take this, i.e., the kidnapping reveal, which is growing extremely stale IMHO; the truth behind the Madeline/Kate/Stefano secret (which will be revealed soon – I think this Friday is the reveal), the muggings, or Ariana if, in fact, he had anything to do with her jail term for her drug dealings. I read something to the effect of Ariana’s past coming back to haunt her. Maybe that will be Shane Donovan.
PattiParticipantI’ve already had calls this morning from my two sons, their wives and my six grandkids, and am waiting patiently to see them ALL together today. That doesn’t happen often enough, but they have something special planned. So Happy Mothers’ Day to one and all, especially to all mothers; mothers-in-law; grandmothers, etc., here in our Salem family, from my heart to yours.
PattiParticipantRafe has suspected for a very long time now that E.J. was involved, but he doesn’t have proof. For Rafe, Anna is the bait to trap E. J., not her. What I don’t understand is Rafe’s persistence to get it on tape. Once Anna is brought in, she’ll take E.J. down with her; she’s always said that, and I don’t think Anna will back down from that, unless, of course, Stefano gets to her first. How in the hell does he get his information so fast? The busted pipe in Sami’s apartment to keep her at the mansion was laughable to me. Does he have hidden cameras in every room of the mansion to be able to see and hear everything going on so that he can intercede at any time he chooses? I wouldn’t put it past him.
PattiParticipantespecially into a public trash receptical, is very dangerous to the homeless, who do search through trash cans for food and other items as well. In many instances they do not understand that they could be ingesting something lethal. That was more than irresponsible of Stephanie to do that. I hope she is outed, although Melanie calling her a liar in that moment almost made me choke on my lunch. Melanie sounded and acted like a 6 year old again yesterday, especially when she was in the room with Brady.

PattiParticipantis May 14th, so what can be accomplished by the end of next week to warrant her returning at all? Beats me.
