has been a huge disappointment to me, unless Rafe comes up with the proof he’s been looking for.  Otherwise, it was just filler, and bad filler at that.

but there is definitely an interest on Victor’s part.  He looks at her in a way that we haven’t seen since his days with Caroline.  And clearly Maggie is starting to warm to him, although she was most definitely against him when he came to her home on a prior occasion.  She stands her ground with him, but in a respectful way that tells him in no uncertain way …. ‘I’m right; you’re wrong, and don’t you ever forget it.’  I hope they do test the waters here just to see what Vivian will do.  Hopefully it will make her forget about eliminating Carly for a while and concentrate on what will happen to her sorry butt if Maggie and Victor do pair up …. she’ll be out on her a** in no time flat.  Victor won’t tolerate her going after Maggie the way she has Carly or Chloe.  No, he would be extremely protective of Maggie, and Viv has to know that, so I’m anxious to see what will happen there.

as was Ali, who, by the way, looks fabulous for having two kids.  I know she’s very into keeping in shape, and whatever it is she’s doing, it’s paid off for her in spades.  James Scott…..well, what can I say….the character of E.J. may have the heart and soul of the devil himself, but his body and looks are angelic.

and that’s all I have to say about that.

if it meant cutting down on the televised commercials.  Actually, I think the product has more effect on the consumer if they see someone drinking a can of Coke, or seeing the box of Cheerios on the breakfast table, so if it would take the show from 40/20 (40 minutes of show…20 minutes of commercials) down to say 50/10, it would be worth it.  They could have just as easily taken a Midol packet out of a purse as well.  Most people (or at least I know I do) either get up from the TV and do something else during a commercial, or channel-surf, so what are they selling if no one is watching?

what’s the purpose of the story, and that certainly wouldn’t make her top girlscout if she’s going around knocking guys over the head and possibly causing someone severe head trauma if, in fact, she knows exactly what she’s doing when she is ‘day’ Hope.  I do like the twist that the sleeping pill addiction brought out the alter, because it makes sense with all of the stress she has been through that she would need something to help her sleep, and that she simply began taking more and more when they weren’t working fast enough for her.  Then, once she became addicted, the stress turned into revenge and her alter suddenly appeared to take justice back in her eyes.  I like it very much, and it certainly shows off Kristian Alfonso’s talent, which has been suffocated long enough with boring, whiny, accusatory Hope.  I’m anxious to see where it ends, though, which I’m sure will be with Bo in some way, and Peter has returned to taping so it can’t be too far off.

but hopefully it won’t be for too long.  She has one of those voices that I can only take for so long, forced or not, real or not.  She’s like Fran Dressher (sp?) to me, whose voice when she was starring in the Nanny, had the same effect on me … like bamboo shoots under your fingernails.  In many instances I feel that way about Molly Burton as well … but not all of the time.  Sometimes she speaks and acts like a 19 year old instead of like a 6 year old (but not often enough).  Anyway, Calliope is the first of many who may surprise us with her return to Salem, but I will say one thing for her ….. the woman’s wardrobe is still the same.  Wonder if we’ll be seeing Eugene.

all it did was make them look worse than they actually are.  This was absolutely the worst season ever with regard to raw talent.  None of these kids belong on a record label, although Crystal really does have a strong voice.  Last night’s saving of that god-awful kid with the blond curls, added to the elimination of a 17-year old kid (Aaron Kelly) who leaves the god-awful other one (still can’t think of his name, and don’t care) in the dust every single week, shows me that this show is nothing more than a glorified popularity contest controlled by voters ranging in age from 12 to 18.  When the judges were unanimous in telling that young man on Tuesday that basically "this was his worst night ever", and you see him still standing there, safe, on Wednesday’s elimination round, sending home a young man who can sing circles around him…….that’s neither talent nor fair in my books, that’s pure and simple bullshi*.  I’m sure that’s why this show is going off the air …. even the judges had to shake their heads at last night’s vote.    DUH…..just remembered, it’s Casey.

but I tend to believe his partners are more than intimidated by him; they’re downright pi$$ed at him most of the time.  He can be overbearing, but I think it’s only because he strives for perfection in a partner he knows has the capabilities to do better.  I think Erin is terrific, and well suited to Max.  I am surprised that it was Pamela who went home and not Neicy, but Neicy’s infectious personality could have a lot to do with her staying power, although she does keep up well for a larger woman.  People have grown to love her wit and the fact that she laughs at herself with regard to her eating habits and her weight, which makes her even more lovable.  I don’t think she will compete quite as easily with the rest of the finalists now, though.

and put Nathan with Melanie (since TPTB seem fixated on MB), Phillip with Stephanie (since SOMEONE insists on keeping this character), leave Chloe and Daniel the hell alone, reconcile Bo with Hope and Justin with Adrienne, and as for Carly …. last time I checked, Roman was still available….or, you can unleash your cougar instincts on that gorgeous younger hunk whose life you once saved, Rafe Hernandez, since I’m beginning to believe you would be much better for him than who I absolutely love referring to now as that ‘brainless twit’, Sami Brady.

to have this group destroy his magnificant talent and big band sound.  None, and I mean none, of them had any right to sing with Harry Connick, let alone attempt Sinatra.  I agree, Casey should go tonight, without a doubt.

triangles, but lately it’s rectangles and quite frankly I am sick of these unimaginative writers. DAYS has undoubtedly one of the finest and most talented casts in soaps, and it must be beleaguering, to say the least, for these actors to perform the same dull, predictable stories, not to mention the repetitive dialogue lately, day after day after day.  Some dumb bunnies obviously care more about the money than the criticism I read every day from soap magazine writers to aggravated fans, all opting for writers with new stories to tell.  It’s like they put the same 6 or 7 plot-related story lines in a hat from the ending of one to the beginning of the next.  Like I said, it’s more about taking home the paycheck, for everyone involved.  Plus, writers, do you have to be reminded that it is MAY SWEEPS, which is supposed to be the climax month for sweeps, leading into the dull summer of nothing but dull teens.  How long after Alice’s funeral before that load of bull-crap is dumped on us?  Too bad Ken Corday doesn’t have the vision his parents had for this wonderful soap.  Sorry for ranting on TPTB again, but this is exactly how I feel.  Too bad we have to depend on the death of the all-time queen of DOOL (and soaps in general) to peak my interest as well as wait patiently for the fondly missed actors and actresses, with illustrious flashbacks, all reminding me how good this show used to be.

who or what in the hell does Nicole think she is…..still a DiMera?  Sure, tell that one to E.J. and Stefano.  She treats people like they are beneath her, from the way she orders a drink (just knew her alcoholism would return), to the demeaning way she looks someone up and down, to her snarly remarks to practically everyone she speaks to, including the law.  Gabbi knows full well what Nicole is "up to," and she just let loose with what she is sure Nicole is doing to her big sister, who anyone can see she truly loves Ari and Rafe.  She may not have been respectful, but at this point in the game, Nicole doesn’t deserve respect.  Now if only Brady will stick to his guns and not give in to her pseudo heroics of yesterday, all the better IMHO.

for the Celtic woman design, indicating "girl power."  Stupid, stupid, stupid.  She took it out of that little black velvet bag.
