PattiParticipant
I know that most soaps do not pay proper tribute to a veteran when they pass on; however, in Frances’ case, it would have been a travesty not to pay an on-air tribute to this fabulous lady, who, along with Jeanne Cooper of The Young & the Restless, has become synonymous with upholding the matriarch role on DOOL since the show’s beginning in 1965. Good for you, Ken Corday, and thank you. I’m sure you made your parents proud.
PattiParticipantI also thought they were sweet and seemed sincere, but I can’t help wondering if all of this build-up with Chloe, her pregnancy, and Victor’s incessant attacks on her, isn’t going to somehow entwine the lives of Chloe, Phillip, Melanie, and Daniel. I have to say this; if I were Phillip I would have had to think twice about Melanie’s indecisiveness when it became her turn to say her vows. It had to be obvious to everyone in that room that she clearly was not ready to marry Phillip. Who hesitates that much when they are committing to sharing their life with that certain someone? No, I’m sorry, but IMHO this marriage will never make it. One other thing, did anyone get a look at Stephanie’s face when those vows were being said, especially when Mel said that of all the women Phillip could have chosen, that he chose her to marry? If Steph was Medusa, they both would have turned to stone.
PattiParticipantthat Carly will attempt to shoot Vivian, but someone else will take the hit instead. Bo will go to the warehouse, because he thinks that Carly sent the message, but he will find Hope instead and rush her to the hospital. Meanwhile, Carly will be determined to stop Vivian. Since I think a shooting will take place, my guess is she will wind up shooting her own daughter.
PattiParticipantshe’s due back on screen in (I’m assuming early) March, but I don’t think a date was specified.
PattiParticipanthow can they do that to such a gorgeous face? E.J., on the other hand, looks like he fell, head first, into a vat of gel. Again, shame on you hair-stylists, if that’s what you want to call yourselves. I know they say that ‘hair makes the woman; whereas clothes make the man;’ however, I have to disagree where Phil and E.J. are concerned. Their hairstyles are hideous.
PattiParticipantby Victor. I think he knew all along what Vivian was up to, thus the receipt that Hope found. However, I don’t think the drama is over for Melanie where her safety is concerned. Something is going to happen at that wedding, which, as far as I’m concerned, didn’t stand a chance from the start. These two are just not meant to be.
PattiParticipantthe wrapped box itself. If anyone goes near it she goes ballistic. I loved when Kate walked out with it the other day. That was so funny to see Viv’s reaction. I kept thinking that she (Viv) was thinking to herself, ‘not that one, *itch….I’ll have one for you in due time.’ (LOL).
PattiParticipantis so dysfunctional, nothing she does or says surprises me. These writers have ruined her before she even got the chance to be welcomed back into the flock. I despise the way they are writing Carly Manning. It needs to stop before I start wishing CC never returned, and as much as I do love the actress, it’s as if she is belittling herself right now, IMO.
PattiParticipantshe got to a point where she sort of just took control of Viv’s intrusiveness and simply ushered her out of the room. And by the way, Mel, they have these little things on doors….they’re called locks. As much as Vivian has been tormenting Melanie since she’s been in the Kiriakis mansion, that should be the first thing she (Mel) does when she enters her room.
Oh, sorry for getting off point, but yes, I agree…..the boobs are too large for Lindsay’s petite body.
PattiParticipantface those fears with her, knowing that he already told her that she only had a 2% chance of even getting pregnant in the first place. Stupid, stupid girl; of course she should tell him the truth. It will only make him totally angry and bitter toward her if she loses the baby and he didn’t even know about it (driving him right into Carly’s storyline, I’ll bet). Yes, the bangs are new, and I must say I never cared for Chloe’s hair when she wore it down before, but it is very attractive with the bangs and the way they are styling it now. She’s gorgeous, but I still have a hard time committing to her as an actress. It’s as if she appears hypnotized in most of her scenes and I feel like you almost have to pull the words out of her mouth. Sorry, that’s just the way she strikes me as an actor.

PattiParticipantfor doing all of this hard work, but I thank you so much for it, as I’m sure all of our members do.
PattiParticipanton SoapNet as long as it’s just the local stations that were preempted, at least I’m hoping so. Got to have my daily fix of DOOL or I get knocked off my axis (LOL).
February 10, 2010 at 7:34 pm in reply to: OT – how many of you are home today because of ‘Stormzilla’? #10367PattiParticipantmy cat can use his litter box, but my poor little cock-a-poo is really testing her bladder. She won’t go out, even though I’ve shoveled a spot on the back porch big enough for her to go. She’ll give in at some point, but anyway I’m in the same position. 30.5 inches dumped on us this past weekend, and another 16 to 20" today, with more expected on Monday. It’s a monster weather pattern that is really hitting the mid-Atlantic like a ton of bricks. I don’t know how the Eskimo people can take it. It’s getting scary out there.
PattiParticipantI will be sure and remember Vicky in my prayers as well.
