She made him believe that Chad was taking her (Mia) to Van Couver to the Olympics, not Gabbi. She knows Chad’s father has forbid him to ever see her again, so she lied and said she was going with Chad and wanted to thank him for the trip, knowing full well that he would in turn cancel it. Maybe she’s the next young Sami Brady….if I can’t have him, nobody else will.
PattiParticipantor will it open up a whole new can of worms with Melanie blaming Carly for her life as a result of what Trent did to her? They’re starting to give Melanie a bit more common sense, so it would be nice if she doesn’t go off the deep end and realize that Carly did what was best for her to save her from Lawrence, and that it was Lawrence who gave her to Trent. In any case, I look for more trauma than drama out of Melanie once she learns the truth, especially when she wants to know who her ‘real’ father is. That’s where I think this storyline is going to get royally screwed up. I will bet anything that those papers that Hope found in the box will show that Carly has a daughter, and that Hope will then automatically assume that the reason she came back to Salem is not only because she knew her daughter was there, but because she (Hope) will, of course, believe that Bo is the father.
PattiParticipantbut, of course, new actors almost never do when they first appear. I felt the same way, Bonbon, about the old Will. I was just starting to like Dylan Patton in the role, and then, of course, poof, you’re gone. I have to agree with your assessment of his staring eyes. He almost looked scared to death. Hope that was just first day jitters, and that we will see some improvement there.
PattiParticipantbut did you see that look in Adam’s eyes yesterday after Victor walked away? It said…."yeah, you keep thinkin’ that, dad"….to me, anyway. I will never trust Adam. His entire gaslighting of Ashley and everything he has ever done has been to get his revenge on Victor, so I’m not putting too much trust into his cooperating with him at this point, but he will certainly make it appear that he is.
PattiParticipantconversation between Caroline and Bo, IMO. Although I am extremely disappointed in Bo jumping into bed with Carly so quickly, I have to say it was nice to see him get so riled up at his loving ‘ma-s’ reprimand, especially when he’s tried so many times to express his feelings that Hope made the decision to leave the marriage long before he did. It was especially nice to hear Caroline admit that she, herself, was being a bit contradictory because of her own past infidelity with Victor. As for Ciara, I do have to agree with Caroline that the child will suffer the consequences of both of their actions. I have a feeling that Ciara will be affected harshly by what she saw through the computer, and her actions could be a wake-up call for Bo and Hope, as well as for Carly. Are we going to see the beginnings of a young Sami Brady taking over Ciara’s innocent life? Who knows how this child will react now that she has seen with her own eyes that her beloved daddy is cheating on her mommy? Remember, this is what happened to Sami when she walked in on Marlena and John making love on that conference room table, and we all know what happened to Sami after that incident. I hope I’m wrong, but I suspect Caroline’s warning to Bo may come to light in a very dark way when looking at it through Ciara’s eyes.
PattiParticipantthese writers simply do not realize how much more interesting not only the stories, but the characters themselves, would be if their writing revolved around character-driven storylines instead of plot-driven. Oh, well, maybe some day they’ll wake up, but I’m not counting on it.
PattiParticipantwe were scheduled for (if you believe in trained meteorologists), "light ground cover to possibly one inch." We wound up with 5.5" in Baltimore County, with some other parts of the state receiving as much as 7". Go figure. At least it was travel-doable; not like the last one.
PattiParticipantMonday…."Oh, Hope, I didn’t hear you waft in." LMAO at her and Victor’s lines.
PattiParticipantwe haven’t seen that show yet.
PattiParticipantso the triangle, which will soon turn into, I believe, what….a hexagon….let’s see, Melanie/Philip/Chloe…Chloe/Dan/Carly….or how many more can we make out of this soon-to-be mess?
PattiParticipantas the strange message she left indicating something about bringing chocolates "when it’s safe." If that doesn’t open the door of suspicion, I don’t know what will. Plus, E.J.’s meltdown about her answering his phone. If there was nothing to get so excited about someone calling him, why go ballistic over her answering his phone, especially when it was identical to her phone and she simply made a mistake thinking her phone was ringing. No, I don’t think he covered it well at all.
January 30, 2010 at 5:20 pm in reply to: Has Anyone Noticed How Cold E.J. has become toward Sydney? #10112PattiParticipantand I know I’ll be in the minority here, but it’s made him less attractive to me. They’ve even given him the greasy, oily hairstyle again, which only gives him even more of a sinister appearance. Too bad, because he’s a great looking guy, but I’m finding him less handsome these days.
PattiParticipantis mention that someone named "Anna" called on E.J.’s phone with a strange message, and the right person(s), like Brady or Sami, would get an immediate clue, but E.J. covered it so well with another of his lies that it will probably never be another thought given to it. Too bad, because what would otherwise be an important clue will just be covered up again with a bold-faced lie. (tsk-tsk)!
PattiParticipantalthough I sort of had mixed emotions watching him on Y&R. I absolutely adore him in this part. I tape Y&R every day, and knew Steve was replacing the other actor. I love the part he’s playing as Katherine’s long ago abandoned son and can’t help but believe he will bring a lot of fans back to Y&R who have been complaining that the show’s writing is going downhill fast. Talk about a guy who has held up beautifully for his age, it’s most definitely Steve Nichols.
PattiParticipantthe rescue may be a wasted effort. Anna claimed Sydney was asking for her ‘da da’ so how much longer will it be before she will be able to spill the beans that she was with "da da’ and ‘Auntie Anna’, which Anna keeps referring to herself as when she talks to the baby. You know what they say about giving someone enough rope…… Wouldn’t that be just hysterical? I would LMAO for days on end if Sydney ended up being responsible for putting ‘da da’ and ‘Auntie Anna’ behind bars. I know it’s just wishful thinking, not expected to happen, but c’mon, …."out of the mouths of babes…."
