PattiParticipant
that she DOES NOT watch the show; so, if your HEAD-writer doesn’t care, why should the staff under her? ANYBODY GOT A BROOM??????
PattiParticipantI’m ready to see the whole lot of them go (all except for Rafe, that is); Sami is so ridiculous right now, she makes my teeth hurt.
PattiParticipantbecause right now it could go either way, depending on this writing staff, and I must admit that I don’t have much confidence in these sls that go on forever. It will make more sense if they make it Melanie, because then they could drag it on forever because of the fast change of heart that undoubtedly Victor and Vivian would take, knowing they were trying to kill Phillip’s fiance. Anyway, my thought is that they won’t be ending this anytime soon; at least not before the "wedding" next month. Sooooooo, my guess is that someone will try and stop the wedding, and my ultimate speculation is that that person will be none other than……Lawrence Alamain…..so there, I’ve said it; from my lips to the writers’ ears; (lol) anyway, that’s my guess. I have never believed for one minute that Lawrence is dead and this "who’s the daughter" storyline, for me, is no better than a ‘who’s the daddy/mommy’ or the baby switch sl for that matter. Now Lawrence showing up just when everyone thinks things might be calming down will, I hope, explode into the real sl behind the return of Dr. Carly Manning AND Vivian Alamain.

I’d be surprised, because it’s been coming back up in ratings. I know that Guiding Light (now off the air) and As The World Turns (ending in September) were both canceled, but I haven’t heard anything in that regard with GH. I sure hope it’s a rumor.
PattiParticipantthat they didn’t have a funeral for Mickey. Seems when you are off screen that long, and the plot was written just as a foreword into the next storyline, which I believe will be Maggie’s downward spiral, I really didn’t expect a big funeral, but I agree on the flashbacks and the tributes everyone made. They were terrific. Just what in the hell is Vivian going to do when she does find out who Carly’s daughter is…..nothing, I’m betting on it, because it will probably turn out to be Melanie, who will be marrying Phillip, who she still insists is her son, even though she was nothing more than an illegal vessel. What did she call Mia….a blond-headed moppet….too funny. Her and Victor do come up with some doozies.
PattiParticipantI didn’t just duplicate my post; I trippled it. So sorry.
PattiParticipantbut we had them today (Thursday) (Maryland).

PattiParticipantI found myself looking and listening from one to the other when Carly and Hope were having their face-off, thinking….’she’s right about that;’ then, ‘yeah, Hope, she’s spot-on with that one;’ or, ‘the truth hurts, but you did do that,’ so I really felt the exchange was well acted and well written. I actually would have enjoyed it much more if Melanie hadn’t thrown her two worthless cents into their conversation. Also, bad timing being that it was held in Maggie’s house on the day of Mickey’s death. But, all in all, I thought Kristian and Crystal did a terrific job with it.
PattiParticipantwith one another right now. I’m sure if he believed she had sex with Justin, he would have either accused her of it, or asked her outright, and, like him, I don’t think she would have denied the truth.
PattiParticipantespecially where Maggie is concerned. Mia is a little over-the-top; she didn’t know Mickey that well and I know she claims to think of Maggie as the mother she wished she had, but she hasn’t been around that long and I’m not buying it. Maybe she is so broken inside from her own misfortune that it’s just now coming out. I still believe Maggie will fall off the wagon before all is said and done; that’s why I’m so damn upset that Lucas will be gone. He could have been the rock for her that she has always been for him. As for Hope, she thinks she’s lost Bo for good and is now just realizing it. Maybe instead of crying over him, she should just walk away. Then, when he comes to his senses, if he ever does, she can tell him to take a hike. I know that’s not the way they’ll play it, but I sure would like to see her tell them both to go straight to hell….together!
PattiParticipantBo and Hope are going to reconcile, but I sure do hate seeing this blatant disregard for their marriage that Bo and Carly are displaying right now. It’s disgusting to watch, regardless of how Peter Reckell tried to sugar-coat it in his interview in SOD. It puts Bo in a much more unforgivable light than I ever thought of Hope being in. Yes, she made mistakes with the blame game; yes, she took Ciara out of the house; but she didn’t take Justin to bed, and right now Bo and Carly look like two of the biggest pieces of trash this show has seen in a long time.
PattiParticipantBlue Mountain State, on Spike TV last night. Nothing to rave about. As a matter of fact, if I had a kid at home of college bound age, it would be the last show I would want him/her to see. Nothing but sex, drugs, booze, hazings, initiations and over-the-top vulgarity. I was surprised. Darrin was really cute and the absolute best part of the show, but he did things on this BMS that would have made Max Brady look like Little Lord Fauntleroy.
January 13, 2010 at 4:16 pm in reply to: I really liked Lucas’ scenes with Maggie today (spoiler) #9588PattiParticipantalthough sparingly, until sometime in February. No exit storyline that I’ve read yet, though. Too bad. I love Bryan and wish him all the best.
