and quite comfortable in front of the camera. Those scenes and dialogue with E.J. and the bath were adorable.
January 13, 2010 at 4:03 pm in reply to: This situation with the characters of Bo and Carly makes me wonder if….. #9586PattiParticipantthat’s not hard to understand. What I do find hard to swallow is how quickly Bo was willing to jump into the sack with Carly. Also, as much as I dislike Carly right now, she did TRY and control her emotions, but Bo just kept pushing and pushing until she finally gave up. When the trust goes, so does everything else. Say what you will about Hope’s pushing Bo away, and I’ll be the first to agree that what she did to him with Ciara was heartless, but now that she knows her husband had sex with his ex, Hope probably feels that as long as Carly remains in Salem, she and Bo have no chance of reconciliation. Maybe when the truth about Carly’s daughter comes out, things will begin to settle into place. But, in the meantime, I think this will continue for a while. Let’s face it, both Bo and Hope have had affairs, so neither one has any right to condemn the other for infidelity. I just know that if it were me, once I knew for sure that my husband cheated on me and took another woman into his bed, I couldn’t ever take him back in mine.
PattiParticipantand said "some welcome, who died…" I would have slapped her if I could have; but, after things calmed down, including me, I realized that she had no idea what had happened, and for Mel, that was probably a "normal" greeting for her. She’s such a ditz at times, and I wish just one director would tell her not to screw her face up every time she speaks her lines; however, I think they will postpone the wedding until later. Now, whether or not that wedding will take place is anybody’s guess. I still think she will wind up with Nathan.
PattiParticipanthave been ruined in my mind’s eye. I say three, because I truly believe that Justin tried his best to get Bo AND Hope to reconsider what they were doing, and the infamous "kiss" between him and Hope was a set-up to throw off Victor and Vivian, so I’m still partial to Justin’s side in all of this. That being said, I am so over Bo and Carly. Hope may have been stupid in her earlier decisions, but it was clear to me that she was having regrets about them and trying to make Bo see that she still was very, very much in love with him. Now, they have sickened me with this story, and I could care less if they never get back together. Sometimes a relationship needs some breathing room to flourish, but this one, I’m afraid, has taken its last breath, IMHO. I really am disgusted with the writing for these fabulous actors, and hope the fallout over this is aimed in the right direction, and that would be directly at the head-writer. She needs to go.
PattiParticipantthey can’t even enter an elevator, or any closed in place for that matter, so the idea that she even got into an elevator told me that she simply had a panic attack over being in the elevator with Vivian, and had nothing to do with true claustrophobia. My first husband was severely claustrophobic. The maternity ward at the hospital where we had our son was on the 15th floor, and the poor thing walked 15 flights up and 15 back down every day (back in those days you were in the hospital 3 days when you had a baby…not like now…in and out the same day). Anyway, I think if she were really claustrophobic, she could not have even gotten into the elevator.
PattiParticipantregarding Carly Manning. I thought I was going to really enjoy her return, but I find her annoying and, what’s worse, playing on Bo’s heart due to his and Hope’s marriage difficulties. If she really decided she did not want to interfere, she would not. So, I think she’s just manipulating Bo to her advantage now, and that’s not the Carly I wanted to see return, and this is not the storyline I had in mind when she did. Now, I just want her to go away, and find myself rooting for Vivian to give me a repeat performance of her destiny in Salem. Sorry, Crystal, I just don’t like your character this time around.
PattiParticipantand get back with Sami; otherwise, why would he be so jealous of Rafe? If he didn’t care anything at all about Sami, he wouldn’t go completely ballistic every time Rafe walks in the same room that he’s in with Sami. I still think he’s playing Sami where Rafe is concerned. After all, he will always be able to go back and tell Rafe that Sami knew all along that they received these notes from the kidnapper, and that he even suggested perhaps they should tell Rafe about it now that he is reinstated in the FBI, when all along that’s exactly what he’s counting on her NOT doing. Now, he will always be able to hold that over her head whenever he wants her to go along with whatever he wants. He’s a true piece of work, I’ll say that for him, but I don’t mean it in a very flattering way.
PattiParticipantthat’s three of you, anyway! (LOL)
PattiParticipantshe won’t know who she belongs to. The only mother she has ever known is gone; the poor excuse she has for a father is playing mind games while using the child as bait; the real mother is a basket case worrying her heart over a daughter she just realized she had; she’s gone from living in a mansion to practically living in the street with Nicole; then to living in a sleazy roach motel in Cleveland, back to the mansion with ‘mommy and daddy’ only to be thrown back out on the streets by daddy. Now she has to be content being cared for by someone who is a complete stranger to her. Damn you E.J., I really hope you get what’s coming to you. I hate you more than ever for what you are doing to this beautiful innocent child just to satisfy your own sense of pride and prejudice by getting back at the people you believe betrayed you. I hope the soap gods send you to soap hell, you *astard!
PattiParticipantit was sacrilegious. Sure, shock may be what they were trying to impress upon the audience, but they fell way short. It appeared more like a poorly written, poorly acted BAD script, which neither John Clarke nor Suzanne Rogers deserves. Damn writers….they just keep on screwing up. Suzanne did the best she could with what she was given, I’m sure, but honestly, Hope showed more emotion than Maggie, IMO.
PattiParticipantwould be acceptable. I have grown to love her with Rafe and think that he would continue to improve Sami. I just wish that she would be honest about E.J.’s ridiculous plan to hide everything from Rafe, especially now that we know E.J. is behind the kidnapping after all.
PattiParticipantwhere Nicole is concerned. Perhaps I would go so far as to say a little too "masochistic" for my taste. It’s like ‘pain, be damned,’ he can’t help himself. That’s why I consider him weak. If Nicole would have given Brady the slightest indication that she was interested in him, I might be a little more sympathetic toward his wasted feelings; but, she has always been up front with him where her love for E.J. was concerned. She only wanted what Brady could do for her; not Brady himself, ever. Now that she has ‘seen the light’ she seems to be looking back on her decisions and suddenly has come to the conclusion that…..what was the line that Dorothy said at the end of the Wizard of Oz…..something like, "if I ever decide to go looking for my heart’s desire again, I won’t have to look any further than my own back yard." She had it all in Brady and she chose to use him to her advantage and then throw him out like yesterday’s newspaper, and he allowed her to do it, over and over and over again. That’s why I find him weak.
PattiParticipanta little something about appearances from yesterday’s show, and that is, admittedly, James Scott is great looking to a fault, but didn’t Galen look hot, hot, hot in that suit and tie yesterday? Man, what a good-looking guy.
PattiParticipantI really expected the judge to throw him in jail for rushing up to the defense table and grabbing Nicole. Ariana, take the hint; you can do better. Brady has turned into a weak character in my eyes. I have lost a great deal of respect for him from when he first appeared back in Salem. They better toughen him up a little bit and stop making him so pathetic.
PattiParticipantWell, I didn’t really know it, but I suspected all along that E.J. was the culprit, right from the very beginning. He gave all of these forlorn looks because he was ALWAYS contemplating his next move. Well, now we’ll see what happens. This is why he was so persistent that Sami not involve Rafe. He knew that eventually Rafe would figure it all out, if he hasn’t already. God, I love this. In this particular instance, for what he has done, or for what he and Anna are about to do, he’s worse than a snake. He might just have to stand on a ladder to look a snake in the eye, IMO. But, he’s E.J. DiMera, so I’m sure if he can’t get what he wants one way, he’s sure to have another plan up his dirty little sleeve. Now, I have to ask, who was the person E.J. had watching Anna. That’s why he ran over there. Whoever that was called him and told him that Anna was about to leave with Sydney. That’s why he had that look on his face. Like…. "just where in the hell do you think you’re going, dahling?" Love it!
