PattiParticipant
in my ear….."If you can’t say something nice, Patsy (she always called me Patsy), keep your mouth shut."
I hear you granny. I love you, and you have a nice day up there!
PattiParticipantand I finally figured it out….it’s not only because the characters of Marlena, John, Hope (as Hope or as Gina) and Stevano take up so much of my time wasted watching DOOL; but, to make matters worse, the acting ability of Drake, Dee, Kristian and yes, even Steve as Stefano, is HORRIBLE. I try desperately to quit, but my addiction stops me from abandoning a show I dearly used to love, so I keep thinking…."maybe today they’ll….." BUT THEY DON’T!
I think I put myself to sleep at night by simply repeating and repeating….."I hate Ron Carlivati…..I hate Ron Carlivati…..I hate Ron Carlivati!" Try it; it’s better than counting sheep!!!
PattiParticipantif the whole method to the madness of this sl will end with the eventual parting of the way for John Anniston and DOOL. I have noticed for some time now that he does not appear to be walking well, which may be why he is sitting in all of his scenes and does little to no movement when he does appear on screen. I know that his daughter, Jennifer Anniston, has been trying to convince her dad for quite a while to retire. I’m just wondering if that’s the way his storyline will eventually be resolved; perhaps by Victor and Xander both being caught and both going to jail, or perhaps even the dreaded killing off of his character with another stroke or a heart attack as a result of Vic’s corrupt ways finally catching up with him. John Anniston, for me, is like Joe Mascolo, irreplaceable where his character is concerned. No actor could do, or even come close to doing, those one-liners of Victor Kiriakis as well as John Anniston!
PattiParticipantI’m more inclined to see it that way as well. Summer is the culprit, not Maggie. It makes much more sense!
You are right as well, Mommytutu; Summer is/was a useless character, but smart to insert her into the story which I’m sure in time will be revealed.
I know everyone loves him with Sarah, but for me the truly bad person in this entire fiasco is Xander. He may love Sarah, but he is truly evil!
PattiParticipantnurses’ scheduled shifts change, but the department they work in doesn’t. I believe if you are a maternity nurse, you work in maternity; if you are an ER nurse, your job is in the ER. Your shift may change from day to day, but your job does not. At least that’s how it is in any hospital I’ve been in. In 2017 I was hospitalized at Johns Hopkins for 2 weeks straight; the first week in MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit); the second week in CCU (Critical Care Unit. At no time did I see a nurse in the CCU that I had in the MICU, or vice versa. That’s how the real world works, Mr. Carlivati!
PattiParticipantto just swallow and say "thank you". Bull—-!!!! That whole thing was a mess. I’m caught up so far because I have On Demand, but too much death, misery actions that would never ever occur, especially in maternity, and who just walks into the baby viewing area instead of through the viewing glass. Good God Almighty. Newborns being left unattended, no ID bracelets, no doctors immediately coming in to speak to parents, blah, blah, blah …. and don’t even get me started on Victor and Xander and poor alcoholic Maggie commits vehicular manslaughter of her own grandchild no less, all still being emitted from Carlivati’s poison pen. Too bad!
PattiParticipantjust going around in circles as to where our teams wound up at the end of this season. Glad it’s over and we can finally concentrate on the Super Bowl and our hopes and dreams for next season. I’m sure you know, Powerpaws2, that we feel your pain, loud and clear.
As for the SuperBowl, I have a different outlook. I know these are two great QBs but my heart is in San Francisco winning. I am opposed to some of the things that the Chiefs have gotten away with but screamed and threw up a lot of "jazz hands" in the refs’ faces when they tried to call their own penalties this year. Suffice it to say, I don’t particularly have a true respect for Mahomes. He’s a little too full of it for my taste. So, I’m rooting for Jimmy G. and those fantastic 49ers to win this year.
But, if truth be told, the only thing I’m really looking forward to in this year’s SuperBowl is the halftime performance. I’m sure you’ll knock em’ dead ladies! LOL!
PattiParticipantwouldn’t it have been a lot more satisfactory for all if he just told Eli, in front of Gabi, that he should take her phone because if he doesn’t, she can easily execute his dear ole’ grandmama right in front of his eyes, and explain afterward everything Loni told him about how Gabi is blackmailing her and holding Julie hostage. I swear, I could have bashed J.J. in the back of the head with a 2 x 4 throughout that entire scene. Such stupid writing. You have to be an idiot not to care what Carlivati is doing to this show!
PattiParticipantand Will was framed by Xander. I think the story here is they both were telling the truth when they said neither of them had anything to do with Ben being framed, because they didn’t frame Ben. They framed Will for Adrienne’s murder because they know, and so will we soon, that it was Maggie who killed Adrienne when she was driving drunk, and now they are protecting Maggie. I don’t know if she even remembers she did it. This one is a real mess.
I think it will eventually be revealed that Ben was framed, but I’m not sure by whom. Maybe Clyde; maybe Evan. Evan will turn out to be David’s biological father, and it’s rumored that he killed Ben’s sister because she refused to allow him to see David. So both Will and Ben are innocent. We’ll probably see Ben get right up to the point of execution when, like Sami’s, it will be stopped, or something along those lines.
At least it’s getting interesting now. You were right Mommytutu; everything will start to be explained now, more and more each day so it appears.
PattiParticipantthe pain is "almost" gone, but my unending love for the Baltimore Ravens grows stronger every season. Now, all I’m thinking about is next season and how much we will improve upon the mistakes made in the Playoffs.
Looking forward to seeing your posts and hoping you will be joining us with your comments on the Jets when that time comes. Great to have you with us!

PattiParticipantMine and Casey’s fight may be over for this season, but we still have a team to root for in your Packers. God bless Aaron, considered to be one of the "vets" of the game and still wiping the floor up with opponents. Couldn’t be more pleased and putting all my faith in Aaron and his Pack to take the fight out of the mouths of some who still believe this is a "young man’s game." Well, I have the right to say that’s pure B/S, and if anyone can prove it, it’s Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Best of luck in their continuing road to the SB.
PattiParticipantbut I’m sure I couldn’t possible feel worse than Lamar today; a kid who takes blame rather than praise time after time. But this was exceptionally hard to swallow and hurts more than any other loss in our history to date. Lamar has said it time and time again, his goal has always been to go to and win the SB, plus he hates losing any game, but this one had to be devestating to him and the entire team. I know it was to the fans. We just couldn’t do anything right all day long, and the Titans took advantage of our mistakes every time we made them, and there were many. Fortunately, we’re a young team with a great offense, defense, and special teams and now we have to put it behind us. We had a great season and, truth is, nobody saw us doing what we did this year to begin with. That being said, we’ll be ready next year. It should be fun watching the adjustments that will undoubtedly be made. I’m proud of the Ravens. Overall, it was a better year than I could have ever imagined. Lamar will shake it off and come back a year older and light-years better; but for now, there’s no excuse for the butt-kicking we took yesterday, and deservedly so. In the words of the great coach, Bilicheck, the fact is they were better than us yesterday. Hey, we still have the Packers to root for in our little club here, so good luck to your Pack today powerpaws2. At least one of us is still in it to win it! It’s been a fun season ladies! Thanks to all for your support!
PattiParticipantwe’ve been in this ridiculous time jump since November 2019 and we STILL don’t know how Adrienne died, how supposedly Kristen’s baby died, how Kristen killed the nurse (can’t even think of her name now, she was so insignificant to me), who Mickey really belongs to, how did Will and Ben BOTH get framed by Victor and Xander, when the hell is Gina going to be discovered, and, what’s worse, Steveno, two characters that make me want to ask myself how much longer this writer intends to torture me before I tell him where he can go and what he can do to himself.
PattiParticipantand I could cry for the Bills. It’s been so long since they’ve been in the playoffs. What makes me so sad is I thought, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that the way the game started off with the Bills leading 16-zip, and the normally confident and reliable Texans seemingly having a bad day, that the Bills were surely going to win. So, I choose to chalk it up to a very good, but very inexperienced young QB who may have still been a little overwhelmed with the big dance and what it means just to be there. I know Josh will survive this, as we all will, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt getting this close to victory and then having to watch it disappear. Seeing Josh’s face at the end of the game told it all. The young man looked very close to crying in disbelief, as I’m sure we all were.
But, he’s a great QB, one who WILL accept their defeat with dignity and understand that their day is looming on a very successful future. Yes, he made some mistakes, but they were ones I’m sure he has already learned from. This is, in the words of the great Al Pachino, an "Any Given Sunday" game, and these teams and their players and coaches are ALL professionals, or they would NOT be in the NFL to begin with.
So for Josh, I’m sure he’ll shake it off at some point and prepare his mind and his future on what happened yesterday, and come out all the better for it in the future. So, Ill say it with confidence: yesterday’s loss will be tomorrow’s lessons learned. There is not a single doubt in my mind that the Bills are looking at a bright future with this young team of super-talents, and most especially with Josh Allen!!!
I’m sitting here today worrying like hell about facing a team we have never faced before, because like it or not, Tannehill and the Titans are a team on the rise as well. Just hope we can handle them. If we do not, I will be practicing next week what I am preaching today. After all, winning is great, but losing is an uncomfortable mindset which tells us, always, to pick ourselves up, brush outselves off, and start all over again!!!!
