take the 6 or 8 major soap PLOTS, seal them up for the next decade, and come up with some NEW, TRUE-TO-LIVE CHARACTER-DRIVEN STORYLINES. How hard can that be for professional soap opera writers? It’s easy for us….why can’t they try it????
mommytutu; to tell the truth, I was surprised to see Shawn D., Belle and Claire’s being shown. No excuse not to have Caroline there. Can’t understand that at all. The new Ally, by the way, is a real cutie, and looks like she could be Sami’s daughter.
but, since we no longer have Rolf in the picture, I doubt that will be the case. No, if anything, Anna will mess up at some point, big time, and since her underlying motive for all of this is money, and since I really still don’t believe she is in this alone, I think she’s going to try and put one over on E.J., who I think she’s really working with, and has now decided to attempt to extort more money from him, which will backfire big time. You don’t mess with E.J. DiMera, Anna, you should know that. I think the only reason she sent him the message with the cut-out words is so nothing can implicate her without E.J. implicating himself. No phone calls, no proof whatsoever, no fingerprints…so, she thinks she’s now in the driver’s seat. We’ll see, but this is just my opinion…no spoiler…speculation only.
and I don’t understand why these one-track mind writers can’t come up with a storyline for them other than their annual separation. Get them back working together solving crimes and catching the bad guys. They would have been perfect for this stupid kidnapping storyline, working with Rafe, Roman and maybe the FBI. So many opportunities to really watch them shine instead of this ridiculous quadrangle with 4 actors I happen to love, all now getting on everyone’s nerves due to throwing them together in a love quadrangle that will undoubtedly come out with Bo and Hope getting back together, but leaving a black mark on Justin and Carly. So, put your thinking cap on your little brains, writing team, and start to come up with some originality for your next big storyline. Hey, here’s an idea: how about something that is character-driven instead of plot driven? That might be nice.
it was sheer pleasure watching them together. However, I must admit, it seems like Doug is the only one who can make her zip it when she starts to get too interfering, especially when it comes to Hope. They are such strong characters with history that is unmatched by anyone, except maybe for Maggie. I wish they were on more. Anyway, I love it when she goes off and Doug reels her in. They are still such a beautiful couple in every way imaginable. I, too, would have loved to hear him sing, though, either Silent Night or Oh Holy Night would have been terrific.

see E.J. and Sami together again, unless it is to discuss their children, and nothing more. Rafe is perfect for Sami. I have always been a LUMI fan, but now that that looks hopeless, I must say I really enjoy AS and GG together. Rafe doesn’t have any ulterior motives, or so it seems. E.J. doesn’t do anything for anyone unless there’s something in it for him. JS is a great looking guy, but my opinion of E.J. is that he’s best suited to Nicole. Hell, who knows, maybe they can redeem each other. I just want him to leave Sami and Rafe alone. But, truth be told, I think that Rafe, as much as he loves Sami, and is always looking out for her, would step aside if she decided she wanted E.J. in the end. If that were to turn out to be the case, Sami would slide right back down to the bottomless pit she crawled out of to get where she is now. Hope that doesn’t happen.
not for a minute, that Melanie is in love with Phillip; it’s more like lust. And, the same goes for him. She loves what he has to offer her. She said it herself when he asked her if she wanted to go to the Brady/Horton Christmas celebration instead of going with him to some tropical island. She reminded him (and us) of just how shallow she was, and asked when were they leaving. Have they ever had a meaningful relationship? I don’t think so, unless you count the one that was posted on the Internet. Now that was meaningful (LOL). Besides, if she’s so damn much in love with Phillip, why is she looking at Nathan at the hospital children’s Christmas story reading, like she’s ready to cry? Same with Nathan; trying to look like he’s enjoying being there with "Miss Rebound…2008/09" (ughhh, horrible character, Stephanie.) If this wedding goes through, I’ll be surprised.
but where I most notice it is in her facial structure. Still, she’s a gorgeous woman; always has been. Personally, I think she looks terrific.
