PattiParticipant
the ONLY cast member to have a "lifetime" contract with DOOL is Frances Reid. John Clarke retired in 2004, and I have searched several DOOL contract sites and nowhere have I been able to find that John Clarke had a "lifetime" contract. As a matter of fact, the character of Mickey Horton was recast with John Ingle, who played Mickey Horton for just one year and then asked and was granted to be released from his contract, and has since been portraying the patriarch Edward Quartermaine on General Hospital.
PattiParticipanton three sites so far: DR; Soaptown USA; and another I can’t remember (maybe Daytime Confidential), that Mickey Horton will die in January, 2010, of natural causes, and Maggie will be the one to find him. The beginning of a truly dramatic storyline for Suzanne Rogers, I’m sure, although the possibility of Maggie falling off the wagon with even more tragedy because of it is still in the rumor stage this time (guess they don’t want to give everything away all at once). However, Mickey’s death is a certainty. Afterward, it seems Maggie’s story will involve a host of other characters who will get involved in her bout with her own destiny, and all I can say is, boy, I’m really looking forward to watching this storyline. Should take DOOL to a whole new level in the ratings, because I know for sure that Suzanne Rogers will knock this out of the park; maybe even winning an Emmy, which I have no doubt she will richly deserve. So, congratulations DOOL and keep em’ coming writers, and without a doubt you’ll find DOOL #2 in the ratings, all by itself, slowly creeping up on a very boring, practically dieing, Y&R right now.
PattiParticipantAnna’s revenge, but E.J.’s as well. I am totally convinced that E.J. is Anna’s partner in crime here, not Stefano. All these secretive calls he’s been making were, IMO, to Anna, because he knows how much she hates Stefano because of Tony’s death, and that she has always hated Stefano and blamed him for Tony, so she was more than willing to go along with E.J.’s plan. Anna has always been sort of a ditsy, yet lovable, money-grabber, so I don’t think it would have taken too much bribing by E.J. to convince her it would be well worth her while to work with him here. I think all of E.J.’s over-the top ramblings we’ve seen of him lately is definitely a ruse so that he can get everyone to do exactly as he wants them to do, i.e., Sami, Rafe, Anna, the Salem P.D., and anyone else connected with trying to find Sydney, all to pay Stefano back for betraying him, and show that he can even bring Stefano down. So, I think E.J. is the one in cahoots with Anna, and I think soon we will see that. He’s been acting very secretively and even a bit darker than usual ever since he found out Stefano knew all along that Sydney was his child with Sami, and now, I do believe, it’s payback time. Hopefully, Rafe will be the one to wise up to his real motivations here, because God knows, once again, the Salem P.D., including Bo and Roman, are barking up the wrong tree where Stefano is concerned. JMHO!
PattiParticipantanother good make-up job. Can you even picture Victor keeping up with a six-year old, let alone ice skating with her?
PattiParticipantthat IzzyB feels. This is just genuine concern on Justin’s part. Bo is his cousin, and he doesn’t want to see them throw away their marriage, nor does he want to see anyone come between them. He does seem a little too judgmental where Carly is concerned, but I haven’t seen any indication whatsoever of any love interest he may have in Hope. All I see is someone very close to him that he doesn’t want the same thing happening to him and his marriage to happen to them. The writers are making him appear meddlesome and butting in, but I see him as someone who truly knows how much Bo and Hope love each other and Bo is misplacing his genuine concern for being meddlesome. Hope, on the other hand, has been the one to run to Justin whenever she has felt down and needed a shoulder to cry on….not the other way around.
PattiParticipantStefano is trying to make it look like he is in control of Sydney’s whereabouts and I don’t think that’s true for a second. I think he is as much in the dark as everyone who is concerned, including Nicole. I know we have seen him on the phone barking orders at someone to just stay put until they hear from him, but I’m more inclined to think it is his own goons and not Sydney’s kidnapper. In fact, I’d be willing to bet that he’s totally out of the loop on this one….for now, anyway.
PattiParticipantwith either Daniel or Justin, but right now it’s obvious that Daniel is very much in love with Chloe, and after all that he went through to get her, I don’t see him casting her aside for a "quickie" love affair with the woman who introduced him to his wife. I don’t doubt that they had a sexual relationship way back then, but I don’t think either Daniel or Carly are aware that possibly Daniel could be the biological father of Carly’s daughter. That, plus usually when a soap starts a relationship off with a very rocky start, i.e., Justin and Carly, they have a way of winding up together. Either way, I like Carly’s attitude and her mannerisms, and her story is getting more and more interesting to me. I hope the identity of her daughter, who I truly believe is Melanie, is soon revealed to her and to the daughter so that they can get the whole story out and start to mend fences.
PattiParticipantI think Stefano is totally innocent, and doesn’t have a clue as to who took Sydney, or where she is. I’m just not sure yet about E.J.
PattiParticipantbecause she really is much too comfortable. Every time she spouts off at E.J., or uses some ridiculous line like "someone has to tell her (Mary) she’s not part of the family," I just want to grab her by the throat and… well, you get the picture. I don’t know what’s taking so long for the fights over Phillip to begin, but they can’t come soon enough for me. So far all Vivian has done is talk a good game. I’m waiting for her and Victor to at least attempt to actually make good on some of their threats, especially where Kate is concerned. Kate seriously needs somebody to open a can of whoop-ass on her, especially by E.J.
PattiParticipantas to what was going on with Nicole, E.J., Sydney, or anyone else in Salem unless she had been informed. No way she is doing any of this on her own. No, she is in cahoots with someone, and the interesting part to me is who that someone will be. In any event, I’m glad to see Leanne return. I always liked Anna.
PattiParticipantbecause in a recent interview with Crystal Chappel which appeared in both SOD and SOW, Lawrence had become physically and emotionally abusive to Carly. She supposedly went to a medical convention where she wound up having, I guess, a quickie affair with "a friend," and, lo and behold, became pregnant. She told Lawrence about it and he agreed to raise the child with her, but when the child was born, he became even more abusive and swore to kill the child unless she gave it away, which she did in order to save her child, because she knew at the time that she could never get away from Lawrence. Now, how Carly found out her child was in Salem, or who she was living with, or where she was living, has yet to be revealed, but that’s where we are with the story right now. I guess my reason for this post is that the father of her child just may, in fact, be Daniel, because evidently they were not only colleagues, but "friends" as well, because it turns out Carly introduced Daniel to his wife, Rebecca. On Friday, when Carly and Dan finally came face to face, it was obvious they were a little more than friends, or maybe I’m just trying to imagine it that way, because I want it to be. I think he and Justin both exude chemistry with Carly, but gosh I’d love to see her with Daniel more. CC concludes the interview by admitting that at the time of the interview, she now knows who her daughter is, but is sorry that she cannot share the information with the fans yet. Too bad, but I’m starting to really get into this sl. Great job, DOOL, keeping us in suspense once again as to exactly what is going on.
PattiParticipantis Lexi’s mom. Sami and E.J. could sure use her psychic powers right about now.
PattiParticipantin that it’s wonderful to hear from you again, but I’m sorry the news is so sad, especially at this time of year. Be certain you and your family will be in my prayers.
PattiParticipantgot my stations crossed!
PattiParticipanthas always been a favorite for me. I loved him way back when, and I love him even more now. He’s not the bad guy the writers are making him appear to be, though. Hang in there Justin, you’re doing the right thing.
