God, just reading the synopsis gave me a lump in my throat, which just will NOT do when I have to answer the phone at work. When I watch the show tonite, it’ll be worse. I really can’t believe it ended today….without the kids or Caroline being told. Who wil be the first that Hope calls?? My god, I wish it were Monday…
…Ciara is growing on me…I think her scenes after learning about Bo may prove her acting chops…or not. Joey is cute – appropriately angry at dad, great with Theo. Theo has always been a great character…both the little guy and this new one- someone knows their high-functioning autistic kids! Yeah, Chase is just a filler for now…meh. Can’t wait to see Belle.
Going way off track here…but it was nice to see Bo talking to Chelsea…wonder if they’ll bring her back for his services?
…at certain, hopeful storylines-to-be. Black Patch is one of them. The deminse of Bo is another. PR is certainly playing the illness to the hilt. His little smile yesterday was a nod of approval to a Hope and Rafe pairing, I think. Hell, let’s get Sami back full time to work with John and Steve! Let’s lose icky Justin as the DA! As the mom of an autistic adult manchild, I’m really anxious to see how they develop Theo…especially with him learning he now has a sister (I’m still scratching my head over that SL…I wanted Jena to be Brandon’s kid…Abe granddaughter…). Anyhoo, if this is the way the show’s gonna go…hurray for another 50 years! Marlena will never age, Hope will keep getting skinnier and Billy Flynn with hypnotize the entire network of viewers with those wonderful eyes!
…he has those drop-dead blue eyes like Billy Flynn…can we stand it with two of ’em on the show??? Billy looks straight into your soul!!! Should be interesting with BB on the canvas the same time Nadia is there. H’mmm…
…was a rascal with a heart of gold too when he first appeared…and also had a velcro fly…get my drift. I see this guy slipping into the same character mold. He’s cute though…and great accent!
…was a HUGE problem for me, as I worked in insurance for 35 years. You just don’t bring up a policy and amend it. There are riders, and writs, and background checks for beneficiaries-to-be, etc., etc. Joe Blow off the street can’t just put his name into a policy. A little suspension of reality and facts there!
I wonder if we’ll eventually find out tht Aiden really pulled the trigger and offed the mom, instead of his sad story about Chase doing it and him covering up!
I believe in Illinois, one has to be 18 to be a best man and sign the license. My son tried to be best man years ago at 17 and he was told he couldn’t.
I think the dressing and makeup are spot-on! Teased and curled and heavy bangs and sprayed, sprayed, sprayed. I love the attention to detail they’re giving. Some are over the top, yes, but would you all like it better if they came in tye-dyed, bell-bottoms and long straight hair (guys and girls)? Not everyone dressed like flower children in the 60’s and 70’s – the mode of fashion and beauty the show is reflecting is very accurate! They may not be the most attractive looks on the women, but as a child of the 60’s, I think they’ve hit the target!
…Aiden needs a new receptionist…so simple an observation…but I am a receptionist/secretary/admin – none of those people would’ve slipped by me. Love it – I’m still giggling!
You capsulized yesterday’s episode just great! I knew it was going to be a tissue-fest, but I lost it when I saw John crying – he’s always so strong and stoic! The "reunion-hug" between Sami & Kate was awesome. But truly, the last 2-3 minutes with Sonny, fighting the instinct to let his knees buckle…the guilty clawing at the grave to somehow get in there with Will and hold him one more time…my god that was tortuous. Great acting, great grief, too bad we’re losing this young man! I really could’ve done without the Andre-interrupting-the-wake thing. As I’ve characterized before, he’s a cartoon character – much like Susan was. I wish they would’ve had a news blurb about Andre returning from the dead – everyone could’ve found out that way and little side conversations could’ve been had. But snaps to Roman for cleaning his clock in one punch. We needed more of the wake…like real memorial services…funny stories, picture boards, flashbacks, his favorite music…some of Will’s words being read. According to the headstone (which only in soaps can they get erected immediately after the funeral), the boy was only 23. So sad to lose the character. But folks/viewers, can you imagine how awesome this whole thing would have played out with Chandler Massey playing Will at the time?? We all know Guy Wilson was a bad re-cast, but he did the best he could and actually looked terrified while being killed. But Chandler…the golden boy…would’ve drove it home just a bit better…and there could’ve been more flashbacks! These new writers have energized the characters, the show and me…I’m now taping the show again and not relying on the daily synopses. I need to see what happens! Bringing back the power of super couples and intrigue, tying up backstories of useless characters (Aiden?), and cleansing the show of stale SLs and people – hallelujah!!!
And didn’t we just LOVE!!! Kayla’s expression after Steve’s "caveman kiss"…methinks I hear a little burble of her hard heart softening…
With Shawn D coming back and taking a dislike to Aiden, he could be part of his downfall as well. I’ve seen a preview of Ben admitting to Clyde that he’s the Necktie Killer, so Clyde gets to roaming around free somehow. I would like to see JJ be the one who ultimately takes Clyde down/out – it would redeem the kid in the town’s eyes. I like the "click" with Gaby – wish she were staying around longer. And Andre – he’s just a cartoon character – always has been. Might as well have a handlebar mustache and twiddle with it. He’s useless. Sorry to see Stef/Joe being diminished, but he is in his 80’s and probably needs the rest. I’m thinking by February sweeps, the DOOL house will be cleaned and old SLs tied up…the new writers are already off and running with threads and promises of good SL’s.
