How many times have we seen another player roll onto someone’s ankle or leg during an innocent play? I don’t want him to get injured as he’s improved overall since last year and he’s so much fun to watch.

Nice to have someone join our trio.

Patti, Lamar definitely has my vote for MVP.  He can do it all.

Their interpretation of prison life seem to be quite a stretch.  I doubt prisoner/visitor would be able to sit across from each other, much less hold hands or kiss.  Sometimes there’s not even a guard in the room which doesn’t seem right.  There’s no jewelry allowed as TFlo indicated with his inserted eye roll.  In the women’s prison Hattie had a cafeteria tray outside of the cafeteria.  I seriously doubt that would be allowed as it is a weapon.

TFlo, I think Paul will enter the picture at some point since Evan said he’d been living on the west coast prior to Salem.

… Eric said she had been fine.  And all they mentioned doing was waiting on lab results which in my experiences of being a patient multiple times meant blood work or a urinalysis.  They usually referred to x-ray and CAT scans as waiting on radiology.  Maybe they gave her the VIP rush for all tests since they said the cancer had metastisized.  Only in Salem.

I gave Brent my number and invited him to play pickleball since he’s never done it.  I’m sure I’ll be talking to him again at some point.  He was at an event I worked to collect Hurricane Michael relief supplies, but I knew he wouldn’t remember me so I didn’t bring it up.  I thought he seemed like a nice guy then and last night solidified my opinion as he let me go on and on about love of football, how I loved baseball until they cheated us out of the World Series in ’94, as well as other stuff.

He seems to have fathered half of Salem so why not?

When I was learning to play football, the general rule was if you are trying to bring down someone big and powerful you try to wrap up their legs.  If they were more of a Barry Sanders type runner, you’d go for the upper body because they could easily dance away from them.  Years ago in VA some teenagers were playing in a field where I was walking Chip.  A smaller guy had his arms wrapped around the torso of a bigger guy and the runner was just dragging the would-be tackler along.  I told him about tackling around the legs and he was amazed how well it worked (or that a 50-some year old woman knew about it) when he did just that.  With that being said, it’s a different thing when a 300 pound guy wearing pads launches at the unprotected legs of another player.  Cam Newton often complained about that very thing (with little being done about it), so I’m curious as to if the refs will be watching for the same thing regarding Lamar and if they will be reaching in their pockets for the flag.

I was living in Central VA when RG3 was with the Redskins.  If I remember correctly he had that awesome first season then got hurt.  Word had it there were personal conflicts with teammates as well as the head coach.  Seems like a good guy, so I felt badly for him.

The Patriots claim the person was video taping for a TV show or something like that.  My first question is why wouldn’t you be filming at a Patriots game.  And the answer is?????

Last night I ran into one of our local sportscasters (Brent Martineau) at the grocery store.  I introduced myself stating I was the one who had called his radio show about the town hall.  We had a nice chat that carried on into the parking lot for about 10 minutes.  He still thinks it’s a great idea, but is trying to figure out how to best present the idea to the Jags organization.

I just wish SPMB had a chat feature where we could message during games.  I was thinking about you two the entire game.

I can’t remember how long either of you have been on the board.  I joined in 2000 or 2001.  JArnold (no longer active) and I somehow exchanged email addresses.  We’re still friends to this day despite me being in Jax and her in Alaska.  She helped me through some late night drives from VA to FL when I was vacationing.

The Jags are so pitiful.  It’s become a "They Shoot Horses, Don’t They" type of thing.

The Pack won, but they should have put more points on the board and they still don’t have as great of a defense as shown in the opening game against Chicago.  As much as I’d love to see them in the SB, I’m not betting anything on it.

I was super happy that the game was broadcast here in Jax. Very entertaining compared to the Jags’ debacle.

Casey, the Bills’ D held the Ravens to their 3rd lowest points scored so far this season.  Josh never looked comfortable.  I was very puzzled when late in the 2nd quarter after having success running the ball and getting close to or in the red zone, the OC started calling pass plays.  If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Patti, I think it will be a Ravens-49ers Super Bowl and I wouldn’t bet against Lamar.  He is truly the MVP of the league.

The Patriots are not the force that they have been, but there were three awful calls that impacted the outcome of the game.  With that being said, in the past they have found ways to overcome such obstacles.  Let’s see what happens come playoff time which is when Brady and Belichick tend to shine.

One of the guys who played in this year’s World Series looked like he’s been living in a cave for a few years.  Absolutely awful.
