Sorry, it’s just that most spammers use a specific pattern and we can usually discourage them pretty fast.
In fact, now that we have the spamblocker on, they are likely to move on to the next unuspecting group and leave us alone here. Once that happens we can relax the rules a bit more. Word gets out pretty quick in the spammer community when sites have detected and stopped them.
RoxanneParticipantComment field is required = you MUST type something in the comments section when you hit reply.
The spam filter will require each poster to put something in the comments and not JUST a subject line. In fact, if you type less than 4 words it will reject your post.
RoxanneParticipantfor Jenn, and evidently, it was exuberant – to put it mildly.
RoxanneParticipantHopefully, not too much to let the spammers back in.
RoxanneParticipantTrying to see if I solved the problem.
OK, here’s the deal…….
When you want to post images, including smileys, you have to click on Input format and make sure Full HTML is the selected option. Then your smileys will show up in your post.
I’ve also changed the board settings so that Full HTML is the default setting for all users. You should, however, click on it to ensure it’s set appropriately for a few posts to make sure the change is shown.
RoxanneParticipantAlways ready, willing and able to help out a friend.
RoxanneParticipantHi BonBon,
If you want to get to the main Forum listing, there are two ways to get there:
1. At the top of the forum, there is a home button. Click on that to go to the main forum list:
2. On the right hand side of each page is a link to Forums which will likewise take you to the main forum listing just below your username.
RoxanneParticipantHi mshults, we are still in the process of moving the site over. I’m not sure what Jenn plans for the archives, but I’m sure she’ll be along this afternoon to let you know.
