Suzy-QParticipant
Totally hot!
Suzy-QParticipantDidn’t mean to reply to this message.
Suzy-QParticipantHow could I forget Doug and Julie? I’d definitely put them in the top 10. Probably in place of Tony & Anna.
Suzy-QParticipantThose you mentioned should definitely make up the top 5 and I’d add them to the the following to round out the top 10: Shane & Kimberly, Mickey & Maggie, Roman (WN) & Marlena, Frankie & Jennifer, Tony & Anna.
Suzy-QParticipantI think Rafe actually might end up falling for Nicole. He might be the one to finally straighten her out. He’s not oblivious to her faults like Brady was so I think he’d be really good for her. I could totally see the two of them getting together. Wouldn’t that just piss Sami off! I’d really enjoy seeing her realize that she not only lost Rafe but lost him to Nicole. I’ve never liked the character of Sami and would love to see this play out.
Suzy-QParticipantDon’t even joke about that! I wouldn’t put it past these writers, though.
Suzy-QParticipantwhich was 27 years ago, but they got married in 1985 so that’s 25 years. I’m assuming that’s what they’re referring to. Shawn Douglas was born in 1987 (I know because Hope and I were both pregnant at the same time) so he should only be 23. However, they aged him along with Belle and Phillip a few years ago when they were in high school. They all graduated in 2002 so according to that they should all be 26 (which doesn’t fit in with Bo and Hope only being married 25 years). I hate it when they age the kids. It throws everything off.
Suzy-QParticipantThe actors who play Carly and Dan are both 45 years old. I’d assume their characters are about the same age. Melanie celebrated her 18th birthday on the show sometime early last year so she’s probably 19 by now. That would mean Carly and Dan would have been 26 when she was born. That is feasible.
Phillip, Chloe, Shawn, and Belle graduated from high school on the show in 2002 so that would make them all 26 now. Therefore Phillip is only 7 years older than Melanie which isn’t too bad (my husband is 8 years older than me). The part that bothers me is that Carly left Salem in 1993 and supposedly hooked up with Daniel sometime after that. For Melanie to be 19 she would have had to be born in 1991. The other problem is that Phillip was born on the show in 1994 so he should really only be 16.
I’ve given up on trying to make sense of any of it.
January 3, 2010 at 11:43 pm in reply to: In your opinion, which was the worst story line ever in the history of “Days”? #9152Suzy-QParticipantDefinitely the Garden of Eden. Absolute stupidity! I loved the character of Greta and thought she had great chemistry with Austin but that was the worst storyline ever. I felt sorry for both of the actors having to endure it!
The 2nd worst was Marlena the serial killer killing off half of Salem and then they all ended up alive in Melaswen (New Salem spelled backwards). I was so mad that they killed off all the greatest characters. I have to say I was glad they all came back but what a dumb storyline to begin with!
Suzy-QParticipantI started watching in the summer of 1983, just before my 14th birthday. Liz Chandler was in jail for attempting to kill Marie and she had amnesia…thought she was still married to Don Craig instead of Neil Curtis. Marlena was married to the "real" Roman. I remember Eugene and Calliope, Alex Marshall, Tony, Anna. There was also some character they kept referring to as "the Phoenix" but I had no idea at the time who he was until he came back from the dead for, I think, the FIRST of many times! Shenannigans was the main hangout place with Chris as the owner. Bo was just new on the canvas and OMG he was so HOT! That long hair and beard and the leather jacket and motorcycle…..I was TOTALLY in lust!!!! Hope had a crush on Roman at the time but finally came around and decided Bo was the one for her. They were my all-time favorite couple. They had just such a great romance and so many exciting adventures. The New Orleans story was my favorite…..loved the great costumes. So much romance in those days!
Days came on at 3:00 in the afternoon so I could watch it after school each day. I remember the bus was delayed for some reason on the day of Bo and Hope’s wedding and I missed most of it. I can’t tell you how furious I was! We didn’t have a VCR at home back then. I never actually saw the entire wedding episode (just flashbacks) until a few years ago when SoapNet played that entire eposide along with a few others during the Days 40th anniversary week. I’ve watched faithfully since 1983 with the exception of a few months in 1992 and about a month in 2004. I tried to give it up but just couldn’t. Although it definitely isn’t what it used to be back in the 80’s, I can’t seem to quit watching. It’s such a shame how they’ve ruined Bo & Hope, though!
Suzy-QParticipantWell, we know it’s a wig in real life, but the storyline was that she cut and dyed her hair when she and Sydney were in the hotel room.
