We seem to be the only ones here PRO EJAMI!!!
Sorry RNGATOR but Rafe never loved her for who she was. He loved her for who he wanted her to be. And they (her and Rafe) were never that honest or vulnerable with one another. She viewed Rafe as a protector and I do believe she loved him – but there was ZERO fire or chemistry there, just as it was with Lucas.
I’m not sure entirely sure I agree a couple has to go through FIRE to be considered a supercouple. I’m not entirely sure Sueprcouples are even a "thing" on soaps these days. The dynamic of the genre has changed too much. However, I never really thought of Bo and Hope as having gone through "fire" to be together. Being a rich girl and a guy from the other side of town with long hair and a bike doesn’t make you a challenged couple. It’s very ROMEO and JULIET though for sure. I always felt that Kayla and Patch fought the odds as did Marlena and John. Bo/Hope not so much.
Not sure how long EJAMI will last but i’ll enjoy every minute of it while I have it.

Look at what Chloe did… NO PAYOFF. What Gabbi did – NO PAYOFF… Chad did something, that in my opinion was COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED and he can’t be forgiven? Ridic!!! I like Chad – i really do. Let’s pair him up with Abby and let them be a couple. People we can be invested in who have ties to the core family. Gabbi – does anyone care about her (or her brother for that matter? Zzzzzz)
At least when people got exposed on the show in the 90s they were treated like outcasts for some time. They don’t even get a sampling of their just desserts anymore. Terrible!!!

Chloe’s character was DESTROYED and it was for no good reason…. Kate was always cunning and with the actress change we could buy into her turning into an conniving woman. Plus Kate’s motivation was often for the love of her children – we can understand that.
Kristens transformation was done quite well. I love John, John’s a priest, wait he’s not, oh wait he loves Marlena, daddy convinced me to use this doppleganger and now i’m a sociopath. It threaded quite nicely.
Chloe’s was just "for the love of a man" which was not at all like how she came to Salem in the late 90s… Plus – there’s no true investment in this storyline. No one cares.
DOOL was mildy boring when he took over, consistently losing it’s time slot and really had nothing going on. Prior to him the last interesting SL was "Cruise of Deception."
He was a ratings grabber and his first go round as head writer didn’t fail NBC. He boosted the ratings and they stood there. People claimed to have hated Marlena/Devil story but the ratings sky rocketed AND STOOD there. They stood there all the way until he left.
I agree his writing the second go around wasn’t as good – but no soap scribe should pen two shows. And yes, his stories did drag on forever but in my opinion they paid off. We will never see anyone get their just desserts anymore. It just doesn’t happen
He was one of my faves (if not my main fave.) Is Gina Hope?!? Susan/Kristen/Thomas/Penelope/Mary Moira?! Lady in White/Aremid/Maison Blainche?!? Sami’s reign of terror?!? Marlena/Devil?!?
He brought a supernatural element to the show (yes a little too much sometimes) but it was certainly different, and needed as DOOL was suffering in ratings and storytelling at that point. Let’s not forget how EPIC Carly buried alive was… CMON!!!
When s*it his the fan we got a great week of it – why would you not wanna watch? When Kate would expose Sami we got a WHOLE WEEK OF THE SCHEME coming out. Those were classic.

That’s why I like them so much together…. E.J. can be his bad ass self and Sami will reslish in it…
When Sami wanted to be with Austin (and was for a short time) he wanted her to be good…. Rafe wanted her to be good… Lucas, yes they were partners in crime, but even he wanted her to be good. Everyone wanted her to be good except Brandon…. They also had some crazy sexual chemistry but her and Brandon was ill timed. Am I forgetting any Sami beaus?
E.J. loves her as is – and does not want her to be any different. They have the potential to be a true power couple. I Love You and You Love Me. Don’t pull sneaky business on me but let’s wreck havoc together. Don’t get no better to me
Sami had sex with Lucas and Austin witnessed it thinking Sami was Carrie (b/c she had on Carrie’s shirt and he saw that and blonde hair.) Sami then drugged Austin (drugged his beer at the Cheatin Heart) and put on Carrie’s perfume and he made love to her thinking she was Carrie. So yes they had sex and yes it was against his will (even though he wasn’t forced – he was tricked.) So that would be rape.
And you know what the funny part is – that NO one remembers? SAMI RAPED AUSTIN!!! Yes, she drugged him but if that’s not rape then I don’t know what is. We’ve moved past Sami raping Austin then why can’t we move past EJ raping Sami?!? Is it okay b/c she’s a woman and he’s a man? B/c she was young? Well, if we’re going to write excuses for Sami then we have to write them for EJ too right? She had a choice, she could’ve said no (but then Lucas would die.) But if we’re going tit for tat we have to be fair
I’ve always felt that Sami N Lucas came across as more friends then lovers… Just my opinion. I’ve always found their scenes to be playful and the banter to be cute, but not romantic or sexy. Maybe it’s just me.
And hey…. Luke raped Laura didn’t he? And they wound up being a major supercouple!!! Not that EJ is a core hero by any means (was Luke? – don’t know much about GH.) But since Sami is a former villianess/vixen (sometimes still current LOL) then I feel like EJ doesn’t need to be a hero for it work.
Sami has it right and Lucas was there to help and all you can do is say "stay outta it mom." MOM is the only one who has a spine right now dear William LOL….
If I didn’t dislike Nick so much i’d want to see Will fall flat on his face!
