It’s a case of the Austin’s…. Austin Peck played Austin dopey, sweet and naive. Patrick Muldoon was street smart, boxer Austin. Just like Billie. Rinna was FIERY Billie – Krista was slutty Billie – Pinson was knock off Billie LOL
Kate is slutty Abby to me and Marci is emotional Abby. I like both versions but there’s no way either can play the opposite convincingly. IMO anyway…
She just wants to screw with Abby? But my thought is what if she starts to fall for Stefan and this is her way to ensure she keeps him.
HA – well it works for this gay man anyway LOL… Not that I wouldn’t watch anyway – but i’ll take the perks!
All I know is Viv’s hair was lovely in these past two episodes – gotta say!
Also – love that Kate is so holier than thou with Vivian. It’s almost like she forgets she framed Sami for murder and tried to kill Chloe (to name a few…)
I do like the "high drama" we get with Kate when she goes toe to toe with Vivian.
And ugh – why do we have to endure Eli and Lani. UGH UGH UGH
The recast changing the character…
Kate’s Abby was very "VIXEN" like to me… Marci’s not so much. And I don’t believe Kate could have pulled off this DID storyline like Marci is doing.
Sometimes a recast changes the character entirely.
Patrick Muldoon’s Austin was scrappy and street – Austin Peck’s was more dopey.
Lisa Rinna had street Billie. Krista Allen was (to me anyway) a Porn Star Billie LOL…
Mansi is short term when she’s back so then what? Abby being written out?
This is the same lady who said "I’m calling the police" in front of a loopy Abby and a DiMera so there’s that LOL LOL
I’m with you on Claire – LAWD is that an awful character. I do enjoy Cierra/Tripp – it’s very young and innocent and I am LOVING this Cierra.
I’m really digging the Abby/Gabby/Dr. Laura SL – for two reasons…. One – it’s absurd and VERY old school (90s) DOOL – which I always enjoy and Two – it’s really making Abby Marci’s now. I loved Kate as Abby but hated the character of Abby then. Marci has made Abby hers and this SL is sealing it.
Hate Jen with Eric. Hate Rafe with Hope. Hate the John/Steve SL. I’m kinda MEH on the whole Eve/Brady SL.
Digging Will/Paul/Sonny – and I actually REALLY like Will with Paul – no part of me wants him back w/Sonny. AT ALL.
Even when that scene originally happened Abby said to Gabi "where’s your coat – it’s freezing" or someting along those lines. Def. gonna be what gets her off. Only in Salem LOL
No Paul/Will today – Kate spent the whole episode Yip Yapping w/Lucas outside the Dimera Crypt… She walked in at the very end and gasped at what she saw (which we did not see.)
Hope invited Carrie to the wedding – which she might attend.
Chad posted Gabi’s bail – even tho Abby isn’t 100% sold on Gabi’s innocence. She made bail but the DA is going for Murder 1. Offered Gabi a plea – she said hell no.
Rafe/Eli questioned Stefan – who has Andre’s phone (no one knows) but Abby walked in on him in the end.
Doc n John chatted – it ended w/John going into Steve’s room with a Syringe.
That’s NOT what’s happening – although I wanted Kristen to be Susan to redeem the character of Susan. Apparently Susan is just going off the deep end – Eileen comes back as Sister Mary Moira too – to help Susan. Kristen DOES return though – and THEN inpersonates Susan to mess with Sami – and we find out EJ is alive.
The last time he deserved to be suspended – but this time I’m not sure. He followed protocol (aside from the drinking at the party earlier) by asking the perp to put the gun down. Even if he said weapon… I mean – obviously Theo is autistic so it did not resonate but NO ONE would know that. Well written so far – and very topical.
One thing I never understood though with these situations – why not shoot the perp in the leg or the knee cap or something?
