(Have a seat, please, this may take a while.) #49550TopazParticipantHope stabbing Aiden was right out of Hitchcock’s "Dial M For Murder". When Grace Kelly’s character was being attacked, she reached for a pair of scissors on the desk and stabbed her assailant to death.
TopazParticipantIn the late 1950s, my school-teacher uncle watched American Bandstand when he got home and then complained about how the teenagers danced. My aunt and uncle lived upstairs from us, so I heard his complaints on a daily basis. I think he just liked complaining. He probably complained about the music and dress style of the teens, but it was the way he talked about the dancing that I remember the most.
TopazParticipantHope’s exagerated hair also reminded me of the hairstyles worn by Mary Tyler Moore (as Laura Petrie on The Dick Van Dyke Show 1961-66) and Marlo Thomas (as Ann Marie on That Girl 1966-71).
TopazParticipantFor some unknown reason, I’m unable to post a new subject on this board. The character of Parker Jonas is being portrayed on DOOL by twins Luke and Evan Kruntchev. I came across reruns of "Last Man Standing" on the ABC Family channel, and Tim Allen’s character’s grandson in the first season (2011-12) looked familar, and sure enough, it was the same twin boys that portray Parker. The twins previously were also on "Dexter" 2010-12.
TopazParticipantThey will be on the final hour of the Today show (the one with Kathie Lee and Hoda).
TopazParticipantTopazParticipantI recently watched a movie from the 1950s and a doctor offered a cigarette to another character. How times have changed.
TopazParticipantThe youngster who currently portrays Chase is now on the new sitcom "The Grinder". He portrays the son of Fred Savage’s character.
TopazParticipantBrady Black was seven years old when John and Marlena left on their 1999 honeymoon. When the character was re-introduced in 2000, he was a college dropout, played by 20-year old Kyle Lowder through 2005. Brady Black returned in 2008, this time portrayed by Eric Martsolf, age 37 at the time. I sure hope they don’t SORAS Brady any more.
TopazParticipantEvery time I see Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) on screen, I say to myself, "Why is Chris Kositchek pretending to be Roman Brady, and why doesn’t anyone recognize him?" Josh (real life age 72) played the role of Kositchek from 1977-87, and there are a few current cast members who were on the show back then. By the way, Kositchek went from being a bartender to a lawyer on the show. Josh began playing Roman in 1997.
TopazParticipantOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so perhaps this story line is heading into next month.
TopazParticipantSerena used her friendship with Daniel’s daughter, Melanie, to hide the stolen diamonds in Daniel’s apartment. Serena was heavily involved with Xander, who tried to kill Nicole (Daniel’s lady love). It’s a long shot, I know, but just because we saw Ben with red neckties and yellow flowers doesn’t automatically make him the killer. We saw a few suspicious people in Thursday’s episode, any of whom could be the killer–each with different motives. Sometimes a serial killer will kill his intended victim and then kill others, just to throw off the investigation.
TopazParticipantWe know you meant Ben followed Abby to the DiMera mansion’s garden.
TopazParticipantCaroline seems to be looking prettier every day. She always dressed well–appropriate for her age, but still fashionable. I really like the outfits she’s been wearing lately. Her hair seems to be just a bit lighter in color, too.
