TopazParticipant
I always carry tissues in my purse. In olden days, when I was a lot younger, girls and women always had a handkerchief with them, either in a pocket or tucked into a belt or sleeve. I’m all for realism, but actresses look uncomfortable when tears start running out of their noses. There are probably some viewers who don’t realize that it’s tears and not something else. Then the actress is left wiping her nose with her hand, fingers or sleeve.
TopazParticipantI’ve always wondered why soaps (and other TV shows) don’t have a box of tissues handy when there is a crying scene. When a person cries, the excess tears drip from the nose and a tissue or handkerchief would sure be nice to have nearby.
TopazParticipantBefore John & Marlena went on one of their honeymoons, Brady Black, Belle Black and Shawn Douglas Brady were all youngsters. When J & M came back, all three children had become teens (two in high school and Brady was a college dropout). Brady had a seriously bad attitude, especially toward Marlena.

TopazParticipantNicole and Daniel (A.Z. & S.C.) were in the Detroit area a couple of weeks ago, promoting a series of local charity events. They made the rounds of local TV news shows, and her hair was longer than what we are currently seeing on screen.
TopazParticipantI began watching DOOL just a couple of weeks after its debut nearly fifty years ago. Bob and Hope have always been my favorite couple, with Doug and Julie a close second. I’ll be happy to see Bo (Peter Reckell) back on the show, if just for a short time.
TopazParticipantJennifer and Hope are first cousins. Jennifer’s dad (Bill Horton) and Hope’s mom (Addie Horton) were brother and sister. Jennifer’s children and Hope’s children are second cousins to each other (the second generation of cousins). Here’s where it gets confusing. Hope and Abby are first cousins, once removed (meaning they are one generation removed from being actual first cousins). But everyone knew that already, right?
TopazParticipantThese three are not fan favorites. Some fans like Aiden, but I wouldn’t put him in the "fan favorite" category.
TopazParticipantAri (Nicole) and Sean (Daniel) were in a suburb of Detroit over the weekend, raising money for some charities. I found out about it too late to attend. Darn.
TopazParticipantThe USA celebrated its bicentennial in 1976 (1776–1976).
TopazParticipantOn a visit to the family cemetery in Indiana, we discovered a small, flat gravestone inscribed TRUE DIXON. We suspected a pet dog was buried there.
TopazParticipantI was ready to blame DOOL’s wardrobe department for Serena’s too-tight dresses (one or two sizes larger would fit her much better), but actress Melissa Archer apparently likes it that way. I googled images of her and her real-life clothing choices are very tight, or very low cut, or both.
TopazParticipantI believe that Theresa and Eve are half-sisters, not step-sisters. They both share the same father.
TopazParticipantBryan Dattilo (Lucas) is 43 — Judi Evans-Luciano (Adrienne) is 48. I think one reason fans do not want to see these two as a romantic couple is because Bryan has always looked younger than his actual age, and that makes the age gap seem greater than it actually is. I always liked Lucas and Sami as a couple–more so than any of the other people they were paired with.
TopazParticipantOur local NBC affiliate (Channel 4 in Detroit) switched from the news conference to DOOL at 1:00pm EST and I was able to watch the entire episode.
