As much as we complain about flashbacks, it would be nice if they had some flashbacks of Justin and Adrienne. It’s been so long, and a lot of viewers didn’t watch it back then. I loved it when they got together. Adrienne was such a mess from all of the abuse she had suffered, and Justin was soooo sweet and patient! I think that’s why I will always be a Justin fan.
This is maddening to me! I live on the Gulf Coast, and you are right bluebonnet, it’s June through November. So we are just about as far from hurricane season as possible. The other thing that is ridiculous is that it’s a "freak" hurricane! The grace of a hurricane, as opposed to most natural disasters, is that you have PLENTY of notice. We always have time to do laundry, pack, load up heirlooms, board up the house, and beat the traffic out of town before it even gets cloudy. Days really can stretch things, but I have such a hard time swallowing this one!
Yes, I remember her not being served alcohol a few months ago because she was under 21. I’m guessing she’s supposed to be 19 or 20.
The ultrasound thing bugged me, too. If she just found out that she was pregnant, they would only do an ultrasound to date the pregnancy, and they would only see a "peanut". Why did they throw in "you may find out the sex of your baby"? Anyone who’s had a baby knows that it would be MONTHS before they could tell the sex of the baby. Ridiculous and UNNECESSARY!!
With Rafe praying for guidance, I bet he does figure it all out. Surely Arianna will mention it, and at some point Nicole will remember the voice. By then EJ will be gone, and I bet it will be Rafe who puts all of the pieces together and finds EJ and the kids.
You’re right, all he does is manipulate and use people. I think I love Rafe so much because of his pure motives. When he said that even if getting Sydney back would cause Ej and Sami to bond, he still would do the right thing by Sydney and the right thing by Sami. He’s a truly good guy who would do the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing, even if it cost him personally.
Maggie chastised Melanie as well a day or two ago for being rude to Carly. She basically told her it was time to grow up and learn to keep her thoughts from spilling out of her mouth. She pointed out that regardless of her feelings, she has no right to be rude. She didn’t have that kind of guidance growing up, and maybe Maggie’s mentoring will help her mature into a graceful lady. She could be a young Maggie, elegant and fiery all at the same time.
Maybe with Lucas gone it will be Melanie who helps Maggie through this crises. That will go a long when in redeeming her in everyone’s eyes, especially Nathan. Maybe that will be the thing that finally brings them together.
Is Lauren an artist or anything? She has this weird mix of business style (less now that she is no longer at Titan, Basic Black, etc.) and Bohemian. Seems her personal style must be more Bohemian, so I thought maybe she has an artistic side in real life.
I don’t think that Dan having a child in and of itself would bother Chloe, but I think it will be difficult for her as she starts to want children and deals with infertility. I think she will struggle with jealousy and feeling left out of his life. It will be very interesting when Viv finds out it’s Mel and not Mia. But then, she will probably have invested a lot of time in trying to bond with Mel to get closer to Philip. She can’t very well kill the love of Philip’s life. Of course, if she drops him for Nathan, she’ll be fair game to Viv! Victor will also try to stop her, since he considers Dan to be a son, so he will consider Melanie family.
Yes, some of Carly’s comments were spot-on, but she still had a lot of nerve to say them to the woman whose husband she just committed adultery with. They’re not legally separated, divorced or have even mentioned divorce, yet Carly says she’s not sorry about it. In my book, she’s an unbelievably shameless HO! And Bo is fungus.
I haven’t heard anything about anyone leaving, but I am ready to throw-up! Hope may have started this mess, but that is no excuse for Bo’s actions. When someone is the "love of your life", you don’t just throw in the towel like that. They’re not even legally separated, and no one has actually mentioned divorce. No one has mentioned counseling, though Bo claims he would do "anything" to work it out. Does Bo not have a problem with blatant adultery, or think it might hinder any chance of reconciling with Hope?
I haven’t paid that much attention to bad hair lately, but I have liked the assortment of unusual braids that Arianna has had. A week or so ago she had a French braid that started in the front on one side, then went across to the other and down the side of her head, and then was twisted into a bun. It was very pretty. And today she had a wide, flat strip from ear to ear that looked like a headband. Very cool!
Ej is the character I love to hate, unlike Kate, whom I just hate. I think the writing and acting involving EJ have been great. He has developed into such a complex character. I bounce between thinking he’s pure evil and a caring, redeemed person, sometimes in the same show. Maybe he’s a true sociopath, since he can be so loving with Sydney, and then not blink when it comes to killing or harming someone else. That’s why I can’t want him with Sami (whom I see as redeemed, although still often stupid) or Arianna. I think that’s why I’ve wanted him with Nicole for a long time. I love the character, even though she can do the most despicable things. She, too, is complex and sympathetic. I see them as being equals on most levels.
